****ing sport survived for 100 years on power punchers mastering the art of cutting of the ring and neutralizing movement and now suddenly posters want that element out of the sport.
I never claimed otherwise. All I said was that GGG-Lara is NOT a great fight, and it isnt. By any measure.

And in my opinion Lara has .000000% chance to beat GGG. Could it happen? Sure. And Beyonce could stop by my house to offer me some drawers too......

look, you can make an argument as to whether Lara could be considered a quality opponent, but regardless the outcome of that debate the bottom line is that GGG vs. Lara is NOT a great fight by any measure. There are only 2 outcomes: Either GGG blasts Lara out in 5, or Lara puts on his track shoes and stinks out the place. Neither outcomes qualifies as "great"
i dont judge great fight by result..until that result happens, but either way u put it when u have two top guys the style of the fight shouldnt keep it from happening
rigo vs donaire was a great fight..bc it was two beast and we knew it...same with lara vs ggg
and those are not the only 2 outcomes..this is boxing you never know wat can happen..
i knew the outcome of lemule vs ggg right away...ggg keeps distance with a jab just like his coach said from day 1..so in your words that was not a great fight it was a dominant fighter vs a punchers chance victim lol

You guys spent 5 years saying that exact same thing about Mayweather.

But that fight didn't turn out too great for Pac.

Pac = too fast, too strong, too many punches/angles for Mayweather, who would run like a b1tch from round 1..... seemed to be the general consensus.

        I think Ward schools/outclasses lil'G, doesn't mean they shouldn't fight.

I think Ward outclasses Barrera as well, but I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Wouldn't you like to see Lara get spanked ?

        • If wade's team has any faith in his long term future, there is no way they take this fight.. Golovkin will ruin him.

But if they think it's only a matter of time before he gets beat by a gatekeeper and exposed, then cash out vs Golovkin in probably wade's only chance for a lucrative fight

Well, what do you think is gonna happen in the Wade fight ?

            At least Lara is world-class.

Come on man, Lara would be Golovkin's best win and first world-class opponent.

You clearly don't like/rate Lara, so I'm surprised you don't want to see him get his face punched in.

And, you talk about Wade getting his shot..... but what about Lara, who is waaay more deserving than Wade?

            I don't get it..... ?

Actually, if I were a su****ious kinda guy I would think that some of you jokers actually understand that boxing is all about styles/matchmaking..... and that a slick Cuban mover/spoiler who just so happens to be a southpaw could be a stylistic nightmare for someone who relies on power/leverage.

            Nah, it couldn't be that.

Do you think majority of GGG fans don't want to see Lara fight GGG? i doubt it, most of us want to see that fight, however most of us (or at least me) am of the opinion that it will not be competitive, and the only reason i want to see that fight is so that majority of these recent Lara fanboys (aka GGG detractors) who popped on the scene would just shut up already about Lara.

Is Lara even the man at 154? he would be coming up against the fearsest middleweights in recent years. Just think of it this way, if someone like Jack Badou who is one of the top SMW would start calling out Sergey Kovalev... just as a comparison. Lara isn't a world beater and he doesn't have the style to beat GGG, can he win? yes... i give him 10% chance but that's it... and don't kid yourself i doubt any GGG fan is scared of GGG losing that fight... but if he does then major props for Lara
He doesn't even have a 10% chance man. You can tell cause all of these grizzled Ggg haters/Lara boosters are like "I don't think Lara wins but he might make it ugly for a while". When your best case scenario is stinking out the joint to a shutout UD loss, that doesn't make for a great fight

amount of the bid. If the offer is for a vacant title, each boxer will receive 50% of the total amount bid. The percentage splits for elimination bouts and box offs are governed by Rule 9D. Unless Wade comes to an agreement with K2, he's not going to rich off this fight. At the same time, if Haymon wins the purse-bid, GGG will be entitled to 85%. So if K2 wins a bid with $2mill, that's $1.7mill for Golovkin vs. $300k for Wade. If Haymon kills it with $4mill, that's $3.4mill for Golovkin vs $600k for Wade.

That's alot of money for an uncompetitive fight and I can't see HBO standing in the way of GGG being stripped and not collecting that kind of easy pay. At the same time I doubt Haymon would willingly sacrifice one of his young fighters to grow the stature of an HBO fighter at such a heavy monetary expense.

                  And Dominic Wade does ?

                  SMH

Jeez, the pile of excuses to avoid Lara is growing bigger by the day.

Wouldn't it be easier for Golovkin to just fight him ?

It's not like that fight would kill a super-fight or anything.

Wade or Lara isn't going to make a difference on GGG resume. The difference is GGG is force to fight Wade. I don't get why people want to see GGG fight Lara. If GGG wins he'll get no credit for beating him. Dude haven't even gotten one fight at 160...

To be clear I would hate to see him fight Wade next. It's one I probably won't watch because of how boring that fight would be. I'm actually am more interested in the Lara match to see if GGG can ko him or not.
