Exactly. But to be completely blunt. Mayweather did respond after DLH's phony truce statement and could of left it at that. The fact he decided to throw some more insults was uncalled for. Also mayweather has been saying some ****** **** about 'boxing conspiring to bring a white superstar" and how ufc fighters "like rousey and mcgregor get special treatment cause they are white". Mayweather at this point is feeling the effects of not being missed for not being an entertaining fighter and loved by the people like he's wanted. Hell they even booed him at the garcia-guerrero fight.

Oscar has been constantly throwing shots at Floyd about how boring May 2nd was. Every Golden Boy fight he has to reference May 2nd and throw shots with his little tweets.Sounds scorned. It's been Oscar just as much.

I usually find the articles on this site objective and informative, but this one was skewed in favour of DLH. You make it sound like Mayweather went on a killing spree. He never once represented himself as a role model for men everywhere. On the other hand, you have DLH who put on a facade of being the down to earth, humble guy, who embraced good old fashioned American values and considered beyond reproach. Which was more embarrasing? Someone who is seen as a thug who slaps a woman or the Mexican superman who wears lingerie and make up?

I have a hard time taking a **** allegation serious when the accused DOES NOT file criminal charges ever and waits 3 years later to file a civil case for 10 mil. That don't sound like **** that sounds like a bogus shake down for money on a celebrity. And settling is what most high profile celebs do because it's usually cheaper saving money on legal fees.

Your right Oscar wasn't there when Canelo was on the biggest stage versus Money May. No debate about that. He relapsed and he dropped the ball period. But ever since he took control of his company the man has been front and center promoting. Doing a lot of the leg work that he never did before and that led to Golden Boy's best year in boxing in a while. Oscar along with Bernard Hopkins will when promoter of the year based on the fights that he made for the fans.

So you mention Mayweather brings up his past. He really doesn't at all. He says at best was he made mistakes but yet when Oscar fully acknowledges his issues in the past, goes into detail the man still gets criticized. When has Money May ever gone into his allegations? Never....he still dismisses them even though he has had a record.

You mention that you would rather have your kid sign with Mayweather Promotions rather than Golden Boy. My question to you is when has Mayweather really ever cared about bringing his guys to stardom. When has any of his guys fought as the Co Main Event on any of his pay per views? None. The man has had his own promotion ever since he left Top Rank and yet the best guys he has had is Jack, Love, Smith, and Bey??? Really? Yet you claim that's the best promotion. Right??? Canelo by himself is worth more than triple than Money May's entire crew. That might not be enough. Oscar has had Golden Boy promotions over a decade and has turned out the majority of the champions under the PBC banner so please let's not go down that road. Until the past few months the only shows Mayweather Promotions were doing was on Friday Night ShoBox Fights.

Canelo will hopefully get in 3 fights, and along with most boxing fans I hope he faces GGG.

Ortiz will fight 3 times and get a shot at the belt. AS for Sadam he can face guys like Bradley, Brook, and possibly Khan. He might not have as many options because the majority of the top Welterweights are under the PBC banner but there's still options for him.

Other guys that Golden Boy has Slava, Jo Jo Diaz, Lemieux, Herrera, Matthysse, Gomez, Gibson, Linares, Caballero.....etc.....I could keep going but hopefully you get the picture Golden Boy has way more than Canelo.

You got me on the LA Fight Club Cards not being competitive. Hopefully that changes this year. But with LA Fight Club you can actually watch the entire card top to bottom. Just Saying

-As things are going now, DiBella Entertainment (Lou Dibella) is far likelier to win promoter of the year than Golden Boy is, even when working within the PBC group of promoters. DiBella already had Wilder-Szpilka, has Thurman-Porter for March, will likely get Wilder-Povetkin in June/July, gets Jacobs stay busy fight for the summer, will likely get Jacobs-Saunders or Jacobs-EubankJr and a share of Golovkin-Jacobs, in addition to any other PBC fight card that comes to New York, as well as his own smaller shows.

-Oscar has never acknowledged anything about his past, especially if you want to talk about doing so in full (i sincerely doubt that beer/alcohol would lead anyone to dress in drag and let his escorts photo it). And you seriously want to bring up addressing allegations?

-Badou Jack, on the cusp of finally working his way to a title shot, got clipped in the first round of a stay-busy fight; rather than write him off, Floyd stuck behind him, made sure that he could still get Jack solid fights, and then used his own relationships to finally get Badou Jack that world title opportunity (leaving it all on Badou Jack to find a way to grab his own goals). If you need another example, you can look to what Mayweather was able to do for Ishe Smith or what he's doing with Ashley Theophane (came in for sparring, gave good work and impressed Floyd, Floyd brought him into the camp, lost his first fight under the TMT banner, Floyd still stuck with him, and, two years later, Floyd's finally been able to get him a world title opportunity).

Floyd's had his own promotional company since 2007, but it didn't do more than act as an LLC pass-through for him until 2013, when it actually started to operate as an actual promotional company. Beyond that, I never said that Mayweather Promotions was the best promoter; I said that, if given the binary choice, I'd rather have my kid with Floyd than with Oscar. And Oscar hasn't had Golden Boy for ten years; he's had the company for 20 months now, as basically everything before that was achieved by Richard Schaefer. Honesty is key.

Floyd has yet to produce a 'Canelo', and he might not ever have a fighter achieve that status, but to act as if you can lay Canelo's success with Oscar De la Hoya is laughable; Canelo came over after already emerging as a star in Mexico, with his placements underneath Mayweather giving him the opportunity to build his US starpower. You add the buildup and focus behind Mayweather-Alvarez and you can argue that Floyd, in actuality, had more direct involvement in launching Canelo than Oscar ever did.

-Only fighter you mentioned that I have any interest in seeing is JoJo Diaz; beyond that, you may as well have just gone to the Golden Boy website and started listing off names, for all I care. None of the other names in your list have much a shot at HBO attention, tbh.

Luis Ortiz isn't going to get 3 HBO dates (unless Golden Boy simply handcuffs to Canelo, a la Golovkin/Gonzalez), and counting Sadam Ali's options as Top Rank's only marketable welter (Bradley, who I see beating Pacquiao), PBC's UK connection (Matchroom's Kell Brook), and Al Haymon-advised Amir Khan is a bit rich.

-I have no interest in watching bad fights, whether just one or a full card of them. Doubt that that changes anytime soon either.

I doubt that Golden Boy is even around as a company in a few years; Canelo's been running his own fight cards in Mexico since 2010 (6 years in with over 70 shows to his company's name), Canelo Promotions has the rights' deal in Mexico, Canelo has the deal with HBO, Canelo has the deal with the beer sponsor. Oscar rides that white horse again and everyone who stuck behind, defending a barely recovering addict, shakes their heads and hits the exits.

Why would Schaefer rob Mayweather blind when I doubt that Schaefer was in on Mayweather's real estate deals, his gym, his TMT brand, or any of Floyd's other business ventures sans Mayweather Promotions? makes no sense.

Floyd was at Saturday's fight because it was a big fight, he was in town, and he wanted to watch; Mayweather Promotions is in the mix of promoters that PBC utilizes, but he didn't show up because of business.

Dude you sound foolish golden boy promotions won't be around in a few years? They were promoter of the year in 2015 despite you laughably trying to give Schaefer all the credit well he been gone for 2 years now and in that time Oscar has made Canelo the biggest star in boxing today and they have back to back promoter of the year awards. And they are loaded with top young fighters. Like 80% of their roster is 25 or younger. And Canelo is leaving them? He just re-signed with golden boy a few months ago. As for Schaefer he ain't responsible for jack. Golden Boy made a quantum leap over night as a promoter because of Oscars name and fanbase. Schaefer was a dime a dozen business man hired to run the day to day. Had nothing to do with boxing before oscar. Hopkins and Barrera, Mosley all signed to align with oscar who was the golden goose in the early 2000s. HBO gave golden boy fight cards for his fighters that other promoters couldnt get because they wanted to keep oscar happy and on HBO not because of schaefer.

Perfect example Canelo originally signed to golden boy to be with oscar was a fan of his had nothing to do with schaefer and he's on record stating this so did many other Latino fighters they signed over the last decade. Oscar name and image is the logo not schaefer and that's what attracted people to the company. Early 2000s he could of literally hired anyone and the company was going to be successful he was the cash cow of the sport. Oscar put out a album that same time and it got a grammy nomination and that fool cant even sing. They replaced schaefer and got a new man running the day to day and golden boy is still number 1 promoter. You giving that two face snake too much credit. And we not even a month in the year and trying to say they won't be in the hunt for promoter of the year? You said the same dumb crap last year. Keep praying on their downfall one year you might hit the lottery but I doubt it's anytime soon.

In the meantime call me when Mayweather promotions makes the leap from 3rd rate promoter to the big times. Call me when they have one significant draw signed under Mayweather promotions. They are not even in the same league as golden boy.
