Remember when 50 Cent was lowered down from the rafters while rapping Gamboa's walk out on a Manny Pacquiao undercard?

That's basically the only thing 50 cent ever did for Gamboa (besides putting him in with Crawford and having it all fall apart).

Dirrell like most of the guys who signed with 50 couldn't get any fights and finally signed with Haymon and bought out his deal with 50. 50's fighters either couldn't get any fights or were forced to take high risk fights that were not in their favor because 50 was getting bent over by other promoters and those were only fights he could get them. Which caused some pretty vicious KO losses for his guys. Gamboa, Billy Dib as prime examples. He mismanaged and ruined the careers of everyone who signed.

Cuban fighters are easy pickings for the promoters. But they don't help themselves either. Rigo signed agreements with all sorts of people that made him unmanageable for the bigger players in the sport.

Agreed, Gamboa for example got a life changing signing bonus and went out and bought a white rolls royce I think it was, should've spent a quarter of that one a top lawyer.
