50 was planning a takeover of boxing cutting golden boy and AL haymon out of the loop. Floyd was down and then went to jail. While he was locked multiple fighters signed to 50 thinking they were part of this big movement with Floyd. Gamboa was one of them. Haymon got wind of 50s move and convinced Floyd to stay loyal to him. He got out and 50 was upset he backed out and their friendship ain't been the same. And haymon refuses to do any business with 50 fighters because he tried to stab him in the back with floyd. Without the connections to venues and networks like the other big promoters have 50 couldn't get any fights for his guys. Now that he filed bankruptcy his fighters all stuck in purgatory.

Arum stealing money and messed up the juan manue; lopez fight

First, arum isn't the only promoter stealing. Golden boy has had bad contracts with some fighters, where their split was terrible. Same could be said about many others.

Second while arum did ruin the Lopez fight for Gamboa he did make up for it by granting him a Rios fight. A fight that would have paid him well, but Gamboa's dumb arse walked away.

Not surprising he now has a dispute with his second promoter. And if 50 lets him sign with someone knew, I wouldn't be surprise if he has issues with the third promoter.

Contracts are a mother.... aren't they, sounds like Gamboa had one of them tv lawyers read the contract before he signed it.

This is why you really shouldn't sign long term deals with promoters unless there are cut & draw clear outs that your own personally lawyer has approved.

Feel like these Cuban cats get effed so good. Lara is the best guy @ 154 right now yet Haymon doesn't seem to know what to do with him as he's had meaningless fight after meaningless fight despite the PBC 154 roster being loaded with good fighters. Rigo has had his prime wasted with f#ckwits managing & promoting him. And Yuri has had his issues with Arum & now 50.
