ggg isn't canelo, he wont have that privilege, besides ggg needs credible opponents, but fighters are supposed to chase him now??

Lara isn't that popular, can't sell out crap, and wouldn't be that huge of a win.

If GGG wanted to please his haters, beating Lara wouldn't even move the needle.
The haters would just say Lara is too small, despite the fact they walk into the ring around the same weight.

So they don't get paid, get little real respect, get no title or anything, and had to overpay Lara with little in return.

Not to mention the entire thing is unlikely to happen.

Better yet, why doesn't Lara make the contracted offer. Then GGG would know it's serious, and Haymon is really ready to work with HBO.

No reasons for GGG to overpay Lara.
The bolded is true for me, but I still wanna find out. What other options are there for the boogeyman? Neither would the needle move for Lee, N'Dam, Korobov, Jacobs (for me), etc.

If you are talking about the Dirrels, DeGale, Ward, then I'd love to see it.

hahah so canelo is better cause of his close wins over trout and lara? Or because he beat up old guys with names like cotto, mosley and baldamor? Considering he's THE main guy at MW, yeah other guys in that division are suppose to chase him. But i'll leave you be and praise a fat average fighter in Canelo. If you really want to get behind a mexican fighter i say go with Gilberto Ramirez or Francisco vargas or even el gallo estrada.

I've heard nothing from K2 about this fight, only Korobov and his manager. What's the point of writing article after article about a fight that's never going to happen. No way in hell K2 is gonna make this fight. This would be Willie Monroe II.

He didn't beat them up just because of their age; he did it because he has some serious skills. See the Mayweather-Canelo fight where skills pay the bills, despite the huge disparity in age and weight in Canelo's favor.

As a GGG fan you don't know what fight would move the needle or not, in the point of view of a critic. You are speaking for the GGG critics as a fan of GGG. Me as the critic will say that GGG beating Lara will be an impressive win. Now if you want to continue using the, GGG will get no credit, look at his resume and realize he has not fought anyone outside of Murray who will lead to critics being satisfied. You can't say GGG will get no credit for beating Lara, as if GGG has already filled his resume up with HOF'ers and ATG's, and like saying Lara is a step backward from what he has been fighting. It's quite the opposite, Lara would be the best name on Golovkin's resume.

In the case of a fanbase predicting that another fanbase will give no credit to a certain fighter only makes sense when that opposing fanbase had a tendency of name dropping fighters said fighter(GGG) should fight to get credit, and then change their tune when that fighter fights the desired opponent his critics are calling for. In the case of Golovkin, he has yet to fight a fighter that his critics have been calling for, so predicting critics reactions based on their past reactions from Golovkin's wins over undesirable opponents is senseless. It wasn't like Geale, Rubio or Lemiuex were being touted as greats who will beat Golovkin and lead him to shut critics up, at all. Those fights were all boo'ed off stage the minute they were even thought of.

Before and after the Murray win, I always said beating him would be a good win, and maintain that GGG beat a good fighter in Murray. He's not a great, or a P4P fighter, but he was a very good MW, as good as they come in the bunch. Lara would be an even better win, of course i'll give credit for that. I predicted GGG would stop Murray late, but the way it happened was more impressive than I anticipated. I thought Murray would put up a much tougher challenge more consistently throughout the fight and then get stopped. I think Lara has a shot at outboxing GGG. Regardless of who wins, I think GGG-Lara goes the distance in a challenging fight. And a lot of credit will go to the winner.

Than again there's still Lee who might be available.
It's a terrible fight. So is Lee. The fact that you can't admit that is another example of how much of a fool you are.
