Why fight Thurman when you could fight Salka?

Thurman can beat some guys at 147, no doubt. IMO Garcia won't be one of em though. Danny proves how he can adjust mid-fight over and over. And he is a murderous body puncher, and never seems to forget that throughout the fight. And unless Khan would get caught solid, Keef would have a rough time dealing with that much speed. Brook would be another tough nut to crack with his speed and boxing ability. And depending on what we see in Bradley vs Pac, he could conceivably be a tough test for Thurman too. Plus of course he has to get past Porter, which there's no inevitability he wins. Keef has concentrated more on boxing the past few fights, and has shown some improvement, but he still has a ways to go. An interesting fighter to watch, but the guy has alotta fans because of his power, and not so many for his boxing ability.

Amir Khan needs to beat someone good in March, to make people want to see Garcia vs. Khan. If not, there will be a unification bout between Garcia and the winner of Thurman vs. Porter (WBA). That will leave Khan with no option but Kell Brook! I suggest Lamont Peterson, Adrien Broner, or Sammy Vasquez Jr.

I have a feeling Thurman vs Garcia won't happen until 2019.

Porter has gotten a title shot already. This is his second.

Countless champions at 140 have jumped to a title shot at 147. For instance, Shane Mosley moved up and fought two no-hopers in Wise and Rivera before getting a shot at Oscar. Garcia, a unified champ at 140, has nothing to apologize for.

That is what I usually call an epiphany...

Danny is a strong mid range hooker; in the rest, he clinches...
A guy who is denying him that mid range, who has an educated jab, good speed and stays in the distance beats him easily...

I agree with you on that one, but keith better watch out for them bodyshots, if they fight, Garcia is going to be mixing upstairs and body all night. that one fight with luis 'bodysnatcher' collazo ,lol, pretty much showed that keith don't like getting hit to the body.

Thurman just beat the snot out of the guy Danny Garcia fought for the WBC title..you mean to tell me Thurman and Porter for the WBC crown is not more worthy or even more appropriate? Garcia fought Malignaggi son, Paulie...Since when in the fffff does Malignaggi entitle anyone to fight for a WBC belt? Please explain that to me? Hell Broner was more entitled to that shot than Garcia.

That's why I gave you the Mosley example. Nothing new for the top dog at 140 to move up and get a title shot. Pretty normal actually.
