Actually thats already been debunked by a few outlets including one of the people (raging babe) you guys are using. That 3k was laughed at and said to be closer to 9K and that walk up was great. In all they gave away much less than 1K of the 12K in attendance

      Who remembers this reporting gem?

Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Paul Spadafora in Discussions
By Steve Kim, MaxBoxing (March 25, 2011) Special to Doghouse Boxing

A couple of sources told me on Thursday afternoon that there are discussions involving a bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Paul Spadafora for the summer and that HBO would give its blessing because, quite frankly, they have no other choice.

What’s not clear is just how Mayweather’s legal status plays into all this.

Folks on the “Spaddy” side believe that there is a great chance this f!ght will become a reality. As for Mayweather, who the hell knows?

thought it was interesting that PBC mentioned non PBC fighters and acknowledge sanctioning bodies. not sure what it means but they never use to do that

2.2 million is a HORRIBLE rating for a major TV network in primetime. for example, the UFC did better on FS1, which i can't even find on my TV dial most of the time. garcia is supposed to be one of haymon's top fighters, too.
It was a huge success. Haymon is a genius. Of course he can afford to pay premium network purses off the back of mediocre cable ratings. Why would you even ask. The massive devaluation of the investment fund is meaningless. Means absolutely nothing. Haymon is a genius and anyone questioning him is a racist. End of story.

UFC had 4 cards on FOX in primetime in 2015. None broke 3M. Two didn't break 2.5M. The UFC is more popular than boxing.

Interesting. Hopefully the numbers for the main event go over 2.5. Would be a nice showing.

We won't get numbers for individual fights. Only HBO and Showtime segment their ratings to produce averages for each fight.

Broadcast ratings come out in two ways. The preliminary ratings come out the day after which breakdown hour by hour for primetime telecasts. Then the final ratings come out the day after which gives the average for the entire program from start to finish.

The final rating should be out any minute now. It will give the official average amount of viewers for the entire show from 9-11 EST.

Again you keep making this about Steve Kim and ignoring the fact that he is not the only media outlet who has reported about PBC struggling to sell tickets and being forced to just give a mass amount of them away for their events. Attendance and not selling tickets has been a problem literally day 1 since PBC debuted. The fact that you still hear these stories about all the tickets they are giving away is alarming. And the debut on Fox doing a 2.2 rating and finishing dead last among the other networks is not a good sign.

                      Total prime ratings
                      CBS 5.14
                      NBC 3.69
                      ABC 3.49
                      FOX 2.24

And PBC was dead last specifically for all the shows that aired Sat night. Ratings are especially bad when UFC did more viewers on FS1 on a card that aired from 10pm-1am last sunday night. PBC just spent like 10X the amount for LESS ratings. For that event UFC drew 12,022 fans and a confirmed live gate of $1.3 million. No reports of UFC giving away free tickets those are real tickets sold. Wonder why PBC refusing to release live gate amounts for their fights? Oh yeah because if they do then they expose the phony attendance numbers and amount of free tickets they are forced to give away.
