I think the end game for Haymon is to give away $$$ to his fighters while increasing his debt, then make up for it for some big potential fights down the line on PPV.

Almost like how Showtime lost $$$ on the Mayweather deal, but then made their money back and then some against Pac.

Maybe I'm reaching here, but I just can't imagine PBC continue to throw money away with no real game plan.

Danny got over a million to fight Judah. Way before pbc

yeah but danny was hot back then and now he's not yet he's still getting paid the same. they can't even sell tickets yet they are making millions. problem. and how much did judah get? 300k. judah wasn't getting a lot since he was crap. guerrero is crap yet he still gets a lot. there's no incentive to fight good figthers since they get paid the same either way. frustrating from a fans viewpoint. great if you are a fighter who just wants cash. i want teh fighters to make great money but for doing something worthwhile.

Not surprising it's consistent with these PBC events tons of stories from fans and media how they can't sell so forced to just give them away. Thurman drew only 4k fans in a arena that holds 12k and this was his last fight against Collazo.

With these purses for fights that draw weak TV ratings and lose millions it's no wonder why big fights first announced to appear on PBC are later being pushed to showtime such as Jacobs vs quillin and now Thurman vs porter. Haymon trying to limit the amount he's losing of PBC investors money. You just can't keep operating very long with these huge purses when nobody is buying tickets and the TV ratings are low.

It's really frustrating to watch. For all that money spent, they have nothing to show for it. They've actually killed ticket sales in some markets because of their comping behavior. It's like how people in Vegas rarely buy tickets for fights b/c there's so many regularly comp'd out.

Thurman, Garcia, and Broner were hot prospects not even 2 years ago, and they've all fizzled out over the past year. Spence should be way farther than he currently is. Too much emphasis on their brand and not enough on the fighter. Been better if those guys had fought in smaller venues in certain locations on regular intervals to build themselves a following.

You get fans to regularly buy tickets to your shows, and they become investors into your fighters.
