I'm concern with why people keep saying free tv, cable is not free where I live and I'm assuming it's not free in any American state legally.

Just because it's free doesn't mean we have to watch garbage fights.. Saturday night is a good, watchable fight and Thurman-Porter is an A+ PBC matchup so it's not all bad...
rome wasn't built in a day so I don't understand why newbies are complaining when things have been much worse in the past

I'll watch Jo Smo fight on FSN....I don't care, that's how much I love watching boxing....don't care if its big names or not....I remember the first time I saw Roy jones on USA and others on FNF.....some of the fights were mismatches....not all and people are acting oblivious to the fact that we have no fighters in their prime that are household names.....we are building stars now...our stars are old and on the way out

in the end, I think its good for the sport and gaining new fans

To be honest I don't think Haymon knows how to build stars...he's putting his guys in mismatches but sometimes against guys that make them look bad at the same time style wise..

A guy like Thurman would be a star already IMO if he were with TR or GBP..they just know how to build up their good fighters and make them well known.

I used to be like you and watch every fight but it's worn me down watching top guys duck and dodge each other for years until they finally have no choice but to fight. Overpaid guys fighting C level opposition have no motivation to fight the top dogs for only a bit more cash...

We will never get to see all the fights we want to so.....POLITICS, NETWORKS, ETC so why are people on this forum trashing PBC
... So: is there anything different now, that PBC is here? I can't see a difference in a better direction for the sport.

PBC just started and they had a bunch of fights already. If it picks up with more fans it is bound to get better.

Some people are just to sensitive about the other boxing issues related with the promotions. You are not going to get a blockbuster fight every time out.

You made a new thread AFTER you read another thread where people were bashing PBC and in that same F'ing Thread people answered the same question you just asked. You simple simon re tard why make a new thread rather then keep reading or ask the question in the thread you CLEARLY were already reading? Then when people ask that question you talk smack about people needing to get a life and how you too busy to be on this website....Yet you forget that the number of posts we make are visible for the world to see and you literally make thousands of posts a year. I just love the irony. Apparently you need to get a life.

Arum had every huge star he had the past decade leave him in the middle of their career or height of their earning powers.....ODLH, Mayweather and Cotto

its easy for us to say that guys are overpaid when most fighters only end up with 20%-30% of their purse

I couldn't care less about what an athlete makes....its not benefitting me or my family......boxing is prizefighting and no matter how much we dislike some of the match ups, these fighters have families to feed like you and I do

How many people will say that they are overpaid for their job or career??? nobody on this site. I don't put my life on the line for my pay check or risk permanent damage each day I go to the office.

Fighters have got crumbs while networks, their promoters, managers, and lawyers got bigger shares of the money....its time fighters get paid better whether they are champs or fringe contenders.

there have been more down and out broke fighters after their career than guys who were well paid and actually got to see a good portion of their purse

Arum has prevented a lot of big fights from happening sooner....they all do...

Everything has pros and cons in the end though, I see a lot of positive and boxing will be able to compete with UFC as far as gaining new fans and viewers
