Lara and Trout both had what were pretty much universally seen as close fights with Canelo. So yes, its not far fetched for a person to feel they both deserved the nod against Canelo.

On the other hand, you're the only person I've ever heard question the outcome of Trout-Cotto. Outclassed has actually been used more frequently than "robbed" in that fight.

And you're the only one I've seen that thought Trout beat Canelo.

BTW, I don't know why we're talking about Trout because Austin Trout is just not that good to me. I wouldn't be proud to have him as my top win like you do for Lara.

Come on man, Trout got dropped twice by some dude off ESPN. Yes, on ESPN, which is a station you despised for elite fighters to fight on a few posts back.

      • Austin trout is a nobody and that's Lara's best win. Neither guy should even be discussed.

Since Canelo is the ultimate showdown for the great GGG. Who's Canelo's best win? Let me guess. You thought he beat Floyd.

Ironically, GGG fans have spent the last year clamouring for a Cotto-GGG showdown. Trout beat Cotto. Weird huh???

No, I don't think he beat Floyd.

Canelo's single best win is probably the Freddie Roach version of Cotto or Lara. IMO, I thought Cotto won that fight as well though.

I thought Cotto's work rate was more effective over Canelo's single big shots. But that's just me talking.

LMAO!!!!!! The "Freddie Roach version of Cotto " GTFOH with that bull****. All Roach did was sit his goofy ass in the corner while Cotto beat up Delvin Rodriguez, a broken down Martinez, and Daniel Geale. And the first time Cotto fought a real fighter, he lost. Just like the last time he fought a real fighter, Austin Trout, he lost.

I'm baffled every time I hear him brought up. Yes, he beat cotto. But that version of cotto was the epitome of an off night and it's not like trout looked like some killer anyway. Since then he's lost to Canelo and beaten nobody of note and actually looked poor doing so. So, why is he ever mentioned? The best part is, his name is brought up to bolster Lara's resume. That's how **** and unaccomplished Lara is. The guy won't even fight anyone decent in his one division but he's supposed to actually want to fight golovkin? At this point I hope they make that fight just so I don't have to hear all the idiots on here mention him like he's a threat. After he humiliates him they'll bring up some other non-threat that he's afraid. They did the same thing to Floyd and it's just ridiculous.
