GGG fans don't have a problem with Jacobs because Jacobs is known to be chinny. But mention Lara and they'll give a million excuses as to why the fight shouldn't happen. They'll even say Jacobs should protect GGG by fighting Lara. Lara would be by far the best name on GGG's resume and a common opponent with Canelo. GGG fans immediately dismiss the fight.
      Because Lara isn't chinny...

Jacobs is not chinny. He got caught by a perfect shot by an excellent boxer. If Pirog lands that on anyone between WW and LHW, they're getting KTFO.

How dense is team Jacobs? They can't unify with Saunders, they only have an interim belt.... By the end of next month when Canelo says he's still not big enough, we should know about the Jacobs/Golovkin situation.

Still can't understand what's up with the Eubank/Jacobs situation. The WBA mandated it, then put it on hold for Eubank/Blackwell. Meantime the worthless Blanco holds the 3rd WBA title.

After GGG annihilates D. Wade and it's proven the Canelo fight won't happen in September, there should be no reason whatsoever that GGG can't pursue Jacobs. Here's why.

If Jacobs fights BJS this summer, that has no affect on GGG. In fact, GGG should be patiently waiting licking his chops waiting on the winner to make the fight happen by the fall.

The idea of matching IBF/WBA middleweight titlist Gennady Golovkin against Danny Jacobs may not seem so far-fetched anymore.

After making the fight with Al Haymon-advised Dominic Wade and Golovkin for April 23 on HBO, K2 Promotions Mmanaging Director Tom Loeffler spoke of a day when he has to deal with another Haymon-guided fighter in Brooklyn’s Jacobs, who is coming off a stunning first-round stoppage of Peter Quillin in December.

Golovkin-Jacobs in New York, from where Jacobs hails and where Golovkin has a strong fan base? Loeffler allowed himself to dream a little on Wednesday.

“Being able to make this fight with Wade, if (Golovkin is) successful, then certainly a fight with Danny Jacobs, who is clearly at the top also of the middleweight division – he had a very impressive knockout of Peter Quillin,” Loeffler told ******.com. “And Gennady being able to sell out (Madison Square Garden) in his last fight – you can only imagine how big a fight between Gennady and Jacobs would be in New York. That would be a monster fight in the New York area. From our side, there wouldn’t be any obstacles to making that fight.”

Unless Jacobs is willing to fight in the UK, I don't think he has a prayer in landing the Saunders fight, even then BJS has stated his preference to fighting Golovkin over Jacobs.

Danny's too inactive, he's squandering his momentum from the big Quillin win. He should have a fight lined up already, he's been out of the ring 4 months now. This is no way to build a fighter's market value.

One month from now, GGG will know the status of the Canelo fight, after which he will try to fight Saunders. If Danny really wants it, he should actually call GGG out, they could fight in June/July if Canelo & BJS chicken out.
