Did the Ref F'd Up In The Martin vs Glazkov?

A No-Contest would have been fair I guess. But I wouldn't have been surprised to see Martin beat Glazkov judging from the way the fight was going before the injury happened.Comment

I think the mods should make a list of every poster insisting the fight should have been a no contest and ban all of those posters for knowing so little about boxing.
ACCIDENTAL FOUL = NC before 4, Scorecards after 4.
INTENTIONAL FOUL = DQ
NO FOUL = TKO.
The end. Not sure why some of you are still struggling with this. Have you guys only been watching boxing for a week or something?Comment

Who cares? Glazkov is boring as hell. Martin's goofy postfight interview was more entertaining. Martin is a poor man's Fury.Comment

I think there is a difference between an injury (that isnt caused by a foul) forcing the ref or doctor stopping the fight, and a fighter quitting due to injury.
If the fighter pulls himself out (like Glazcov did) it is a RTD/TKO win for the opponent. If the ref stops it its a NC/Tech decision depending on the round.
It came up when Flanagan won his world title. Zapeda dislocated his shoulder and decided not to come out for the 3rd round. Everyone was up in arms because Flanagan had won a title like that, but its in the rules so not much the ref can do.
It makes sense though because if you were losing the fight badly and need a way out you shouldnt be able to feign an injury and get a NC.Comment

Yup.The referee didn't call it a foul (you can hear him say as much) and he called it a TKO in Dawson's favour. It was then changed to a No Contest; I don't think they would have been able to change it to a win for Bernard, even if they viewed the incident as a foul after the fight.
If a fight stops because of a foul, I think the perpetrator would be disqualified. A no contest would result from an accident stopping the fight before the end of the 4th round.
Unable to continue due to injury = TKO
Unable to continue due to injury suffered by accidental foul = N/C or scorecards past the 4th round
Unable to continue due to injury suffered by intentional foul - DQ
Glazkov was not fouled at any point during the fight. Martin wins by TKO.Comment
