when a wbc champ changes to a different division he always gets a shot at the title a fight or two into the division, danny held that title for a while and made 5 of 6 defenses of that title, now he'll soon be kind of 147 which i've been saying for years now

I wonder if the WBC knew Canelo-Khan was in the works when they announced this. In the space of a few weeks it went to a WBC 147lb tourney to Danny getting a free belt with no obligations.
