Canelo ain't gone be stripped of ****. And even if he does, who cares. But with the WBC's history. And what they've done recently when it relates to already going back on their word that GGG had to be next for the Nelo-Cotto winner. And then making Garcia-Guerrero for their belt. I'd be willing to bet that whoever has the deepest pockets is gonna get their way. HBO nor WBC is gonna side with GGG over Canelo.

Well since you put it that way that could very well end up happening. We'll just have to wait it out and see what happens.

Thats a shame he has a better chance against GGG than he did against Floyd years ago. He just needs a fight plan to keep GGG stepping and reseting.
He has the ability to do it and enough pop to keep GGG honest.

I see your point. Its obvious there is some fear out of Canelo. They can make every excuse in the book but we all know he doesn't want those problems at 160. Oh well it will be the easiest title win for GGG.

They use to say that Golovkin has no resume. Why? The answer is in those stats.

This 4 wbc belt IMO Sulainan needs to interject & just say this is 4 MW title, 160 & under..as long as GGG nit over 160 the bout stands...quit protecting this red headed fraud...w/wbc's umbrella & DLH saying he wants a 90-10 split seems they're trying NOT 2 make this bout happen...

Sulaiman has already said that the sanctioned weight limit for this fight will be 160lbs. A catchweight would be a private arrangement between the 2 fighters, not recognised by the WBC.

Golovkin could put Canelo on the spot by agreeing to 155 then coming in at his usual weight. He might have to pay a financial penalty, if that was written into the contract, but Canelo would have to either fight him or pull out and lose his titles.

I don't mind Alvarez wanting to fight at 155, but he shouldn't be allowed to hold belts hostage if boxers don't want to take title shots under the divisional limit. That's simply not fair.
