Angel Garcia on Thurman-Porter: Why fight each other when they could fight a Salka?

It's because there is an entire generation of boxing fans and upcoming fighters who heard Floyd Mayweather use this kind of talk as a selling point and will buy into it.
Problem is too many fans and fighters don't understand how Floyd Mayweather got to the top of the sport or how he stayed there.Comment

Funny part is, hmm... I mean the sad part is Haymon fanboys think they look good expressing concern over these fighters' well-being in general. In reality, they're only concern when it comes to Haymon and his fighters'. What about our Salka brothers who get significantly less money, get mauled, beaten to pulp, put on stretchers and sent to the nearest emergency? All for making Haymon fighters look good.Comment

Another prime example of when business comes first and the fights we want to see are secondary. They have a point in saying build a fighter against lower tier opposition then come together for a big fight but damn as a fan it ****s it up.
Only thing il say is as much as i dont like it, i have to respect that boxing is dangerous and if someone gets injured then nobody will pay for their health except themselves.Comment

Now things are different. There's an element within boxing who want to say that not only does ducking and dodging happen, it should happen. It's perfectly fine.
What side of that line the majority falls on determines where boxing is headed.Comment

This is why I find it so hard to like Danny. I know it's not his fault Angel is saying this ****, but still...
I don't understand how somebody in boxing can say this **** so openly, where's your pride, your ego? **** this guy man.Comment
