Former WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia makes his return on January 23 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. He will take part in his second welterweight contest against former multi-division champion Robert 'Ghost' Guerrero in the headline fight of the debut show of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on FOX.

'Garcia (31, 18 KOs) is not taking Guerrero (33-3-1, 18 KOs) lightly. The "Ghost" is very experienced and even faced the likes of pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2012 in the main event of a Showtime Pay-Per-View card. Mayweather dominated the fight for a twelve round decision win.

Garcia made his welterweight debut earlier this year and stopped former two-division world champion Paulie Malignaggi.

Some fans are not happy with the contest and preferred to see Garcia face someone else. Garcia explains that business trumps the demand of fans in certain situations.

"Sometimes things are bigger than what the fans think. People want a fight and expect it to be done for its own sake, but it is not that easy. Fans want certain fights but there might not be much money involved. At the end of the day this is also a business," Garcia said.

Some fans believe Garcia has gone backwards since the big win over Lucas Matthysse in September 2013.

"I think [some fans think that] because I've done everything backwards compared to each fighter in the sport. Each fighter has gradually been brought along before getting a big fight. Against Amir Kahn, I came in as a total stranger. I knocked him out and I took over the division," said Garcia.

"Then I beat Matthysse. Then when I fought against Herrera and [Rod] Salka, it was as if I had taken a step backwards. No fighter can just take pure wars because you won't have a long career."
