I'm not even sure there will be any split. GBP might just decide to give Golovkin a flat fee and pocket whatever other income themselves. Maybe a 10 mil payday for Golovkin while canelo takes home the rest of the pot. They wouldn't be wrong for proposing that. Canelo is very clearly the much bigger star.

Wont agree to catchweights though
Sells out Madison theater though

Obviously Canelo isn't getting 90/10 but he's A-side so he going to flex on GGG as he should. If GGG wants the fight he's going to have to take the short end of the stick whether it's purse, weight, gloves or whatever else His team can think of

people seem to forget that ggg has leverage as well. if canelo doesn't fight him at 160 he gets stripped and ggg gets his belt and makes him look like a coward. is golden boy willing to let that hapen? maybe maybe not but he will take a hit

It's all about math in this, and De La Hoya is a promoter now. GGG sells **** on PPV while Canelo has been in several pretty big shows. He's the A-Side. If the fight somehow happens and GGG wins, I think that's when he breaks out for real.
