  • Has there been a fighter who did less than GGG to be considered top 5 p4p

this is a legitimate question....He is a unified titleholder, albeit not the champion of his division...he is exciting and makes for good TV but his quality of opposition is lacking

How in the world is GGG ranked so high when guys Like Amir Khan, Danny Garcia, Tim Bradley, Takashi Uchiyama, Shinsuke Yamanaka, Adonis Stevenson etc. not on the list when they have fought better competition

Estrada is lower and is a two division titlist and has beaten more champions than he has

Canelo and Rigondeaux also are rated under him by boxingscene and other publications even though they are the PROVEN man in their divison and have defeated and faced stiffer competition

naw, its entertaining watching his die hard fans reach and flail for reasons to validate his hype and p4p placement

He is a good fighter and IMO he is the best middleweight in the world.....he isn't the champion, Canelo earned it....he has to as well......Matter of fact Canelo should be higher than GGG....He has fought better competition, is the real champion and only lost to the greatest fighter of the passing generation.

seem like the only ones that catch anyones attention I make are the GGG or Floyd threads

Ive made appreciation threads, Hall fame threads, p4p, all types not involving GGG which get no further than the 2nd page.....even started a series called when fighers illustrated the term "one great fight left"

there are more casual fans on this site than hard core ones like you and I and only thing it takes is to mention one fighters name and people get up in arms and post

Has there been a poster that made more GGG topics than you? I think the answer is no.

Some of you in these forums, and in media are just plain silly. There is no p4p list. There is no true way to measure one fighter in one weight class to another in another. It is everything to do with imaginary and individual perception of where you believe someone belongs. It is a popularity contest. Nothing more, nothing less. GGG is very popular among most fans and media, so their view on him will be skewed. Someone who is not as popular, will not be seen as much, so no matter how good they are or how good you will think they are, they will be overlooked.

Look at how American and upper weight class centric the P4P list has been since some idiot came up with the idea. It is broken. Why keep this up? None of it matters and any P4P list ever made, is guaranteed to have errors because those who make them, have a very narrow and limited field of view, and to top that off, you would then have to accept their opinion.

They just trying to make excuses for Floyd to duck GGG!

But Floyd will duck GGG, because seeing GGG destroy everyone has him worried real bad. If u think Floyd was intimidated seeing PAC ko people can u imagine how fearful he is of a man who puts 160 guys to sleep?

I guess GGG is above so many good fighters like rigo, Khan and canelo because canelo wasn't putting old men like mosely to sleep, and going life and death with trout! PAC was beating Barrera and morales yet was lower than Floyd. So better resume doesn't guarantee u anything I'm afraid!
