At this point I don't think the fight will happen.

First they try to push out GGG out of ny and now they pushed porter-thurman out of mgm. Yup the ufc brand has taken over as the more dominant/entertaining hand to hand combat sport. Its really quite sad

It's embarrassing the way these self-serving ****s in boxing have allowed their own sport to be effectively supplanted as the top combat sport. Gaymon had the opportunity to make a big impression, to make a real statement last year; to rebound from one of the single worst years in boxing history (much the same way the UFC did after a similarly poor year in 2014) and put his brand/product on the map. And what does he do? Reverts to form, makes poor/mediocre matchups the norm and simply reminds casual audiences why they don't bother with boxing in the first place.

Both Fanny and Void contributed heavily towards this mess we're in now. Not just their light contact sparring session, but the years of marinating and cherrypicking that's spilled over to the rest of the sport and is now commonplace throughout professional boxing.

PBC has no stars. PBC gets killed in the ratings head to head by minor sporting events. So no choice but to move the date. But UFC would never do this to Canelo, Floyd, or Manny.

For all of those making the claim that the UFC Is much bigger and Is destroying the sport of boxing could you provided a link to the UFC PPV buys showing that It sold more than 4.6 million or 2.4 million for one of It's cards?

This is what I want to see.the only person I thought was doing numbers was Ronda rousey and I never heard of mcgreger until after Ronda got knocked out.

I watch ufc from time to time and know some fighters but I never heard of him.

Here's the sad state of combat sports. Based purely on popularity I'm not talking about making money. The average fight fan or casual fight fan will probably name 8 to 10 MMA fighters before they name 1 boxer and that's probably giving boxers more credit than actual truth.

The UFC has run circles around Boxing in regards to promoting, social media, and just making more fan friendly fights than boxing. Better cards. Better content.

Not to mention the biggest elephant in the room theirs no division in regards to making the best fights possible like their is in boxing.

Currently the most popular active boxer is Canelo most would say. But he's really not a cross over superstar yet. So boxing has a lot of catching up to do. But they need to figure out a way to all get a long and make fights the fans want to see.

A DISGUISED attempt of Haymon helping Thurman to duck Porter. So disgusting seriously. I am just sick and disgusted by the coward of Thurman. Dude fights like a chicken and has become one outside the ring as well. No balls, he is not a real man. Bet 90% of the posters in this forum are more of a man than he is and would kick hiss ass in a fight. A guy who is bish made stands no chance against a real man, regardless of his fighting background.
