Hagler had a bullcrap draw vs antofermo.. That was his first big marquee fight.. But he demolished Alan minter for the belt a year or 2 later and then beatdown antofermo in a rematch.. Hagler was considered p4p 1 by ring magazine by 1981 but the superfights eluded him for a few years till he landed duran, and then hearns, then leonard.

You're honestly going to tell me those guys were prime great boxers? We're talking about dudes with over 60+ fights.

As for your question......an easy No. Hagler wasn't HOF or ATG in his first 10 years. GGG has a chance to change that like he did.

I agree right now the answer would be NO, BUT if more of the top rated fighters at MW had not been dodging this guy we would have a more definitive answer. In all actuality we really have no idea how good this guy may be, just because every fighter that his team has overpaid to get in the ring with him, he destroys and makes it look easy. If he should fight Ward or Canelo in the future, and was to destroy them in a handful of rounds, then we may have a better idea.

He will need to get all the belts by beating every champion....he will need to beat canelo in September ..All you can do is beat the opposition in front of you and he still needs to have a career defining fight or 2 .....if he cleans out every top fighter and shows just how dominant he is.....and then wins the super middlweight belt then you can't deny he belongs in the ATG list....he has a good 5 years in my opinion.....that's well enough to cement his legacy ....at the moment no he is not but ask again in a few years
