The guy thinks it is HBO or Showtime who make the stars and that the fighters have nothing to do with it. Arum tried with Rigo to up his game, Rigo did not listen. HBO tried, Rigo did not listen. In the end all he became was an expense. So they dumped him.

Lots of time then goes past and someone finally picked Rigo up (rocnation) and what does Rigo do? He stinks out the joint in response.
    Couldn't have said it better.

The networks and your promoter can only do but so much. You as the fighter have to actually go out there and create buzz and make yourself marketable. Rig has had plenty of opportunities and time after time failed to cash in on those opportunities.

that is the truth...rigo will have the last laugh in he stays in shape
Floyd has gotten boo'd at times, but he also made up for it. When Floyd fought anyone who was unwilling to engage, what did Floyd always do? He would engage by walking them down. When someone refuses to engage Rigo, what does he do? nothing.

Floyd also created plenty of drama outside the ring, he was a great salesman. In the ring he was beautiful to watch. The perfection of his gift of gab made up for times when there was not much action. Rigo looks the exact same every fight. We all know what we are getting.

If you want to succeed in this game, to become a star, you need to have an IT factor.

              Hold on !!

              Who is " us " ?

You, and your Golovkin-fan buddies ?

That list is not yours, it belongs to BS, via Cliff Rold.

P4P is completely subjective, and that is Rold's opinion.

A far more important question for you to ask is..... why do I see things so differently compared to experienced/knowledgable insiders?

Ward is there because he is OBVIOUSLY very close to being the very best fighter on the planet.

The word OBVIOUS, is bolded for a reason. Why is it obvious to Rold, and me, but not to you?

And on the subject of " shown us anything "..... when has Golovkin ever beaten a world-class opponent?

At least we know Ward can, Golovkin just makes excuses not to fight.

P4P " status ", is completely theoretical, and means absolutely nothing.

When Ward beats Kovalev, not everybody will be shocked.

It will not be this huge upset, like some of you guys think.

I would just about bet my life that Ward will be the betting favorite with the bookies when those odds open.

Sleeping on someone you DON'T know, is somewhat understandable, although naive..... but sleeping on someone you do know?

There is a different word for that.

                    Thank you Mr. Periban!

So glad you turned this fight down. Now Ward has to finally fight someone in his weightclass.
