This thread is about lucas going to 147--- and the fact that he will get brutalized there. Danny's shortcomings have nothing to do with Lucas' chance at success or lack of, at welter

Unfinished Business at 140

I think Lucas should stay at 140 and fight bigger fights that can be made for him their than at 147. Outside of Sadam Ali Golden Boy doesn't have many options for him. Bradley and Pac are fighting each other so that's not going to happen. Sadam Ali is going to hopefully face Jessie Vargas so that's not in play either.

The rest of the elite welterweights are under the PBC Banner, and until the issues get resolved there Lucas has very few options at welterweight.

At junior welterweight fights can be made with Herrera, Orozco, Benavidez, Crawford, Postol, and Provo. The majority of the Top Names outside of Broner are either with Golden Boy or Top Rank. So there are way more options for him.

He underestimated Postol but he's still a top fighter that can get another shot at a world title by the end of the year depending on who he fights next.

Matthysse Better Stay Out Of 147

Postol picked him a part, made him quit at 140. Too many wars, Provodnikov gave him too much war. Time for Matty to retire or stay at 140 if he chooses to fight. But it would be Management Malpractice to send him to 147 to get blown up and seriously hurt.

Way too small for 147. He looks too small for 140. He's the shorter guy in every one of his fights.

Great, Mathysse needs some fights to sharpen up, he's been going to war head on too often and it has cost him.

I always wondered how Lucas would to with Nacho in his Corner, he's a hell of a counter puncher when he chooses to pick his spots. He has the speed, power and athletic ability that most of Nacho's accomplished fighters posses.

Shame really because he seems like a good guy but he was shown to be to limited in his boxing against postol and was totally dominated and I just think his time is done now.....can see him getting knocked out at welterweight ...but even when you look at Garcia he has done absolutely nothing since there big on the canelo undercard and I have a feeling Garcia will be coming unstuck soon as well.....

Lucas learned the lesson

He learned that Ko or die is no More.He has to fight like he did against provo in all of His fights. He needs a decent Corner that tells him when he is doing wrong and send him to war with a Fight plan. Barrera and coggi added nothing To His Game. he needs a Great Corner.But I do not think He is willing to let them go.He is not Done. He will come back, like all the great champs do.
