    Wow this is inspiring

For those that don't know Mark Prince was a good contender back in the day who fell short to Dariusz Michaelewski (sp). He finished his career 19-1 with 15 K.Os following a severe knee injury.
His son Kiyan was a very talented up and coming footballer who was victim of a knife attack after trying to prevent another youngster from being bullied.
He set up the Kiyan Prince foundation, an organisation against knife and gun crime he has now returned to boxing to help try spread his message across.

Recent training footage and explaining the importance of the jab & finishing combinations with it. He looks absolutely fantastic for 46.

How long has it been since he has fought? I can understand why there would be reluctance to license him at his age if he has been inactive for a long time. Best of luck to him, though. He's right that it should be a case by case basis. If he can pass the tests and wants to fight, then all the power to him.

Damn, just listening to him talk has me pumped up. He's charismatic.

Didn't watch the videos, although I will at some point I'm sure, but f#ck all these old guys boxing. I wish there was just some old man league for these 40+ year old guys (& other subpar professionals) who wanna embarrass themselves that could be like the WNBA to real professional boxing's NBA.

Yeah I remember him as an undefeated prospect, he had a great war where his opponent was almost stopped on cuts and had to go for the KO, almost got it until Prince landed a big shot to put him out.

He was scheduled to face Chris Eubank, but then Eubank got the offer for the Calzaghe fight and pulled out. Good fighter but just not on the level of Michalczewski when they fought. I'd rather guys of his age retire but I wouldn't force it upon them if they pass the medical tests as well as the young guys and aren't getting beaten up. When you see guys who used to be champions years back now losing 10 fights in a row is more of a concern.

I don't know how you stop old guys from boxing outright & I'm not sure you can, but I feel like there should be real professional boxing over here with the Manny's, Thurman's, Josesito Lopez's & Oscar Valdez's & than all these old guys, ****ty guys & Butterbean/Kimbo types over in this other area is all. This guy & similar or comparable fighters situations need to be better defined as joke or freakshow type levels of pro boxing. I kinda think this lowers the overall quality of boxing.

I second that. It's not like football/basketball ect where they got some college education to fall back on or a pension plan, most of them only know boxing to support themselves.

For guys over 40, maybe there should be a special license where they're only allowed to compete in up to 8 rounds against guys within 5 years their age and no weight cutting allowed.

What's sad about the general sports public is that I feel 95% sure that would sell better than any of the best fighters in the world besides Pac, Cotto, and Alvarez.

LOL you think casuals would rather see this Prince guy boxing another 40yr old than the Thurman's, Khan's, Crawford's & those type of talented guys box other contenders? Idk about all that. I mean hell I vaguely remember this Prince guy & I'm a solid boxing nerd over here. I can't imagine many casuals know this guy from the cutman who'll work the corner of the next guy Errol Spence fights so its just a old ass boxer to them so I don't get the appeal for casuals.
