This is what will happen. All these dudes looking for giant paydays, to be challengers, will just keep sitting on their ass waiting for the phone to ring again.

Does Herrera deserve big money to fight Crawford? Hell no
Does Barrera deserve 500K to fight Ward? Hell no, and I bet he settled for less.

If we keep feeding the less popular fighters and lower level fighters too much, where is their motivation to press forward?

This would be like McDonalds deciding to pay all their employees $50 an hour. The employees would love it at first. Look at all that cash rolling in to their bank accounts. Soon after they all get layoff notices when McDonalds folds.

No business can spend more than they take in and last. The PBC for instance, look at Lara and his million dollars per fight. Where is the money coming from? It is not his fanbase as he hardly has one. At what point can he continue to make that money until someone realizes it is just money leaking away?

Look at Jacobs vs Quillin. For that card well over 3 million in purses was spent by showtime, half the arena was empty. They peaked at like 350,000 viewers. Do any of you think Showtime was truly happy spending that money hardly any subscribers watched?

For what it's worth, Arum knows how to spot the next cash cow and we all know once he finds them he protects them. My guess is he's feeding him Lundy while Pac vs Bradley plays out then he'll face the winner. I'm sure Arum can convince Pac to fight a few more times.
