Pretty funny how the same people who were claiming Tureano Johnson is a good opponent for Golovkin are downplaying this fight.

I guess that's what happens when one fighter has never stepped up at any point in his career.

NOBODY is saying that Johnson is a good opponent for Golovkin. But he is the mandatory challenger for Golovkin's IBF title.

GGG has a lot of hype...I don't care how old he was when he turned pro...he has been a pro 10 years....He went the same Olympics as Ward went to and got a silver medal.....they have moved this guy too damn slow to be as good as he is and he is running out of time in regards to being able to keep his current form


I want to see him in some real good fights before the he is past prime and washed up excuses come if he ever takes an L or has a less than stellar performance

He is one of the smartest and respectful fighters out there

He is just a very good boxer that hardly every fights - that's it

I like this fight a lot for Ward, but how exactly is Barrera getting into top10?

I'd say those 9 are undisputable and have at least 1 or 2 fights that prove their ability. And there's a lot of competition for that 10th spot - you can easily make arguments for Alvarez, Rodriguez, Chilemba, Cleverly, Braemer.. I mean, you can even argue for shadow of Dawson or Mr. Taco Bell to belong on the list.

Barrera is good and very promising, there's no doubt. But to argue that he definitely belongs on a top10 LHW list is a joke.

Beterbiev and Shabransky are no better or worse than Barrera. All are highly touted prospects.
