He actually had a good amount of success by boxing and he hasn't got the credit for that. If I had made this thread after the fight it would have been pointless.

Obviously I agree with you as per my initial post that he should have thrown it all out there, but sometimes in a fight like that you don't know exactly what's happening or how the fight is being interpreted. It sometimes feels like that in the ring, and even with someone of Pac's experience he might have felt it was closer than it was because it was such a low contact fight and he wasn't taking much punishment. As I said those things are open to interpretation, but I will reiterate my point that in my eyes Pacquiao actually solidified his quality to me that night, not the other way around.
He had a good amount of success until he didn't. And he was comfortable losing a UD instead of turning it up. Sucks. But the bottom line is, he lost and lost clearly. I think it's sad so many of his fans try to pretend it was close. Most he won was four rounds. Not close. And not worth seeing again.

Just look at the punch stats.. Mayweather was more accurate and landed more punches. His connect rate was much much better then Manny's. You got to hit the target and Manny could not do that..

      You cannot deny greatness!!!

Yeah I am not dis*****g the decision at all, you have to consider a lot of his fans are emotionally invested and you are less likely to get sense in that scenario, and they are unhinged at the best of times. I'll put it this way, has there been any fighter that has boxed with Floyd from the outside who hasn't got completely torched? You can say it was age but Floyd put it on Berto a fight later.

I was just really impressed with Pacquiao in defeat and that is the way I see it.

Both fighters fought good fights, and I feel Manny hasn't got the credit he deserves for showing skill and technique in situations where people often downplayed his abilities in those areas. Many people thought that a randomly tested Manny who chose to box with Floyd would get Gatti'd, and that was a million miles away from the what happened.

All people have been talking about is what a disappointment the fight was and laid most of the blame on Pacquiao's shoulders. I totally disagree with this and thought it was a good tactical fight where Floyd edged a lot of rounds with tremendous defensive abilities and basically Floyd being Floyd.
            Only idiots thought that.

In terms of the fight, it was a bonafide sparring session where one guy did a little bit more than the other. Quite honestly, the worst big fight in boxing history.

It's like this, Pacquiao's approach was NEVER going to get the job done so it's actually more disappointing than it is impressive. It's not so impressive when you already know Pacquiao is a good tactician, may not be noted for it but anyone with a good eye can see that.

Shh! The pact@rd brigade will hear you.

But as for the topic at hand, this was a fight between two of the best fighter of our time. It was never going to be a classic Pac bulldozing or a Mayweather schooling, both fighters respected each other and fought cautiously. That said, no amount of slomo will change the obvious outcome, even giving Pacquiao every questionable round in which he landed anything at all of significance it was still 7-5 Mayweather. Pacquiao had success, but he was fighting Mayweather's fight from round one so it was bound to be short-lived.

I agree. Floyd was very smart in attacking Manny right away. That really set the tone. Manny was certainly competitive and gave Floyd much trouble. Floyd clearly won, but let's not act like it was easy. Manny is a fellow ATG and deserves respect.

                      After the dust has settled.

Post fight video analysis shows the guy who connected more throughput the fight not to mention the one who gave the significant telling blows as well per round was Pac's.

As a lot have seen the truth.

                      8-4 Pac. The true winner.

And after the dust has settled,

We therefore conclude Floyd did cheat. Evidence is strong with Floyd. You'll be a fool not to get it.

Floyd's PED use + rigged score cards = Pac obviously should have won
