I don't hate it. His mandatory is taken care of, and it should be fun while it lasts.

This guy got destroyed by Curtis Stevens.

We already know what's going to happen.

It's not official yet, Frank Warren is calling K2 next week to further negotiate the Saunders fight. K2 had talks with GB to lay the ground work for a Johnson fight, GGG's manager said Johnson is their fall back opponent if they can't get the other options.

And yeah, Johnson is undeserving by far. I absolutely hate the Johnson/Golovkin fight. It would've been ok if Golovkin fought Johnson in February and had a more decent opponent in May/June prior to Canelo, but then they decided to just have one fight prior to Canelo......

Destroyed? Did you actually watch the fight or just look up the result on Boxrec?

Obviously I'd much prefer the saunders fight but if BJS ducks then he has no choice but to fight his mandatory.

He probably sent IBF footage of the first 9 rounds against Stevens with a little pocket money.

Johnson is good, talented but he really dropped the ball against Stevens. And failed to but Kane away.

Johnson is a good fighter, but I had Stevens ahead on scorecards with greater accuracy and really poured it on well at the end, showing he was the better conditioned athlete.

Golovkin dealt with Stevens easily, so I don't expect Johnson to last long.
