HBO 2016 Boxing Schedule is not looking good....

He's banking on the name value and not on the fights.

He's hoping fans see names like Kovalev, Canelo, GGG, Pacquiao, Crawford, Chocalatito and get excited and watch their fights regardless of their pathetic opposition. As long as casuals tune in and those ratings remain high, they'll keep putting this **** out.

There is not one competitive fight in the first 6 months apart from Sadam Ali vs. Jessie Vargas. Is anyone clamoring for that fight? probably not.

That's the truth. The facts are casuals tune in to see the A sides...us hard cores want the good match ups. I don't mind watching one mismatch if I know it's leading into a big fight. So Canelo-Monroe and GGG-TJ are fine by me if I know they will fight each other next. If not then what do those fights accomplish? I guess GGG gets rid of a mandatory but nobody cares in the least about that.

Pascal vs Gonzalez was a good fight. Idk why people saying that he looked bad. They was both throwing bombs. I even had a draw. No way Gonzalez won 8-4 like Harold drunk ass had it. And Kovalev Pascal was one of my favorite fights from this year. Outside of Adonis, nobody else for Kovalev to fight so I could have lived without a rematch but not mad about it.

I thought Kovalev vs Pascal was competitive and highly entertaining. Although for a rematch I would imagine Pascal doing worse. Johnson vs GGG is probably more competitive than GGG vs BJS, as I think BJS would get absolutely destroyed whereas Johnson is a tough guy who comes to fight with an entertaining style. I think he'll be somewhat competitive but will be stopped late. Pac vs Bradley III I'm sure will be very competitive, being that Pac has declined and Bradley is feeling pretty good about himself right now, but with that said I have NO interest at all. It really is a week start, again. Hopefully the undercard fights at least are stepped up. It's not always about the main events it's about the cards (sometimes). Here's to hoping for a great second half of the year.

Yea, let's not worry about this too much yet. HBO has 3 cards announced (one of them is a PPV, so won't take away from their budget). Showtime has 1 big fight booked, PBC has one big fight booked. Let's hold off on declaring the schedule bad until a few more fights are set.

I have to imagine there is a big announcement with a bunch of PBC shows coming. Not only do they not have many fights announced, the only potential PBC fights I have heard rumors about is Thurman-Porter and Theopane-Broner. Don't they have tons of TV dates to fill? They keep a tight ship, you have to give them that.
