    anyone else really respecting IBF?

they really force their mandatories regardless of the $ involved.
fury had to vacate his title, many others are pressed to fight their mandatories too.
    good stuff.

I didn't like that move. The fewer champions, the better. They could have insisted on that mandatory after the Klitschko rematch. Now we'll get a champion in Glazkov or Charles? Not a good idea. I hope the winner unifies soon.

If they were enforcing decent mandatories then I would. They lacked common sense in the Fury situation big time. Fury just beat their long reigning champion and had a rematch clause, the ibf just needed to chill and give Fury some time.

All the orgs should be clamouring to wrap their belt around the recognised best fighter in the division. How can I respect the IBF belt when its being held by the winner of Glazcov vs Martin ffs?

Thats why I dont mind that the WBC is basically disregarding their rules to put GGG as their mando. He's the best fighter in the division, the clear no.1 challenger, he should be the one in line to fight for the belt. Not that the WBC is doing it for moral reasons or anything, but means to an end and all that.

So yeah respect for following rules, i guess. But maybe they should try making it so their rules end up with the best fighter in each division holding their belt.

I can't respect any alphabet groups. They've all contributed to lowering the value of what it means to be a champion & they are the major force behind all the weight divisions we have today. F#ck em all.

I can't get all concerned with bs rules one alphabet does vs the bs rules of other ones. Its like acting like a serial killer is worse than other serial killers cuz he's murdering people on the beach. The bad part & the problem is he's killing people at all.

I like how they follow their rules, but they need to improve their ranking system, too many low level fighters force themselves into mandatory positions.

The Fury situation was dumb beyond belief, they took their title off the legit world heavyweight champion, and it will now be a paper title held by a paper champion. They had the ability to negotiate, and Glazkov could have fought Fury after Wlad fight. But of course glazkov would prefer to fight charles martin, and get the money by being a paper champion.

We now going to likely have a situation where Wilder fights the winner of Glazkov/Martin in a heavyweight "unification" which will be complete B.S

The IBF made their title worthless with that decision.
