    Agreed.

But Molina/Smith was so boring I actually almost fell asleep when I was watching it.

Personally, I gotta go with Wlad-Fury
Wlad v fury was bad but nowhere near as bad as Floyd v baldomir and calzaghe v Hopkins, which is even worse

        2015 highlights were definitely pac/floyd or klitch/fury.

Or anything with Tony Bellew to be honest.

wladimir - fury was awful, and will only be called anything else by fanboys.

still, let's not compare it to a rigondeaux fight. not even castro himself would call those things exciting.

he's been in one good fight, and that was because he was dethroning a p4p'er, and we were all in shock. he also looked good, to his credit. he threw sharp, accurate counters that did damage. reminded me a bit of prime floyd. not a whirlwind, but still nice on the eyes.

This era of fans sucks...would rather fights not happen so their favorite fighter doesnt take an L.....sad bunch of posters on this board @ times

this really is hysterical, when you think about it.

you watch boxing because it has the potential to be the most exciting sport on the planet when the matchmaking is proper.

Umm, Donaire fight was good from a non casual casual fan perspective, but overall it was a pretty boring fight if I'm being honest. Two counter punchers against each other is rarely a good fight.

And his fight against Amagasa was much more exciting IMO, he got put on his ass, got up and beat his opponent to a pulp.

The ones that come to mind are Mayweather/Baldomir & Pacquiao/Clottey.

Wlad/Fury was not a barn burner in any way, but just the shock and awe factor of Wlad being thoroughly neutralized and with no answer to what was in front of him made it enjoyable imho.

it was lightyears beyond his other fights, which regularly get him in the discussion for most boring fighter on the planet, or fighters who are so dull that they shouldn't be on network TV in [spite of how good they might be.]

doniare just coulnd't make anything happen. he's not a "pure counterpucnher." it's not like he's some slick who will stare at you all night on purpose. he's not great at leading, but it's not like he avoids it by being negative and countering all night and in every fight, the way rigondeaux does.

he was aslo the best 118 lb puncher i'd ever seen, and still hit like a mule at 122, and the excitement of him possibly starching a naturally smaller guy with a crap chin was always there.

i'd never compare it to a carlos molina fight, for example, or most of rigondeaux's other fights.

Remember that fight was right before Floyd-Canelo so everyone was hyped up that night. I have literally never seen so many people all on their phone at the same exact time in the middle of a PPV fight.
Finally! Had to wait til the 42nd post before I saw anyone mentioning Molina. Was starting to doubt anyone watched boxing
