I'm ok with GGG vs. Johnson.

If that's true and Canelo is the second fight then I'm completely fine with it

Saunders would be better as it brings another title into the mix, but i don't see that one happening. So Golovkin taking his mandatory before the Canelo fight in September isn't the end of the world.

I don't consider Tureano Johnson to even be a top 15 MW, so it's a frustrating thought to even see him allowed in the ring with Golovkin. The IBF mando isn't due until July, even then it can be delayed with unification fight with Alvarez or negotiated step aside (Tureano is promoted by GB), K2 agrees not to strip Alvarez & GB agrees not to strip Golovkin.

If Saunders says no, then move on to Jacobs, if Jacobs says no move on to Lara, Eubank, Lee or Andrade. ****, I bet J-Rock would even jump for a big payday and opportunity. I'd mention N'Dam and Korobov, but they're coming off a loss & long layoff. Guys like Tureano Johnson & Jorge Heiland are mid-level fighters who ascended to high ranked positions due to the inactivity of better fighters (like N'Dam & Korobov).

If he fights three times next year, I like it. If he just fights two, it should be Jacobs or BJS, period. I love the G-Man but he's about 35. It's now or never.

And I'm not blaming him. Martinez and Cotto and many others should have fought him and not ran.

Canelo is supposedly happening in September. He has to fight Johnson anyway so I'm cool with the fight because BJS is on some BS.
If this was the first time this exact situation came up sure, and I don't really blame him in this case because overpaying a ton for Saunder is to me a waste.

It is always the same story though this guy down the road (which has yet to pan out), this guy won't fight him, and the guys that are not politically viable. So on to the second rate guys, who are generally decent fighters but nothing that special.

Him fighting Johnson ain't that big a deal, but it is a continuation of the whole trend. Hopefully for him he gets the fight that changes that trend in September, but I need to see that go down because his career right now is a song that just repeats the same verse over and over.

Johnson is a more appealing opponent than Gabe Rosado is for Canelo.

I agree and I'm usually the first t **** on GGG's resume. I've always said the reason GGG can't get fights is because K2 is cheap. The most feared man in boxing, Mike Tyson, never had problems getting fights because his opponents were paid well. With this offer it shows K2 is serious about getting the fight. If BJS refuses what can he do? Jacobs isn't a unification so the IBF won't push it back. I'd rather see him in the ring with someone who wants to fight him, Johnson, than someone who's just fighting him for the money, BJS.
