Article was from a year ago and EA Sports haven't even mentioned anything about a new boxing game

Would rather see somebody else make a boxing game personally, not a fan of EA Sports at all they always ***ing disappoint with their gameplay

I agree with most posters that champion lost some of the skill involved in the earlier games, but i found the story mode compelling, even though it was annoying at times. We'll see if ea decided to give this game the tlc it needs to be great, if it ever sees the light of day.

I've been playing boxing games since Punch-Out and 4D Boxing. Fight Night Champion was probably the worst boxing "simulation" ever made. I'd rather not have any game than another rendition of that arcade mode garbage.

The last one was with Tyson on the cover right? That was a long damn time ago. Hopefully we get a good roster this time. The last one was pretty lame.

I'm not sure how Madden and NCAA do it but I think a career mode where you have to guide your boxer, either created or licensed, from an amateur tournament, namely the Olympics and then into the pro ranks. I know the FN games do that to a certain extent already but have better career options, a wider variety of venues and opponents to choose from and obviously, the varying sanctioning bodies to compete with or against.

Maybe make 3 territories, the US, UK and mainland europe, each with their own promoters (you can choose who to sign with) and TV deals. They could put extra resources and man hours into the career mode and just scrap the story mode altogether.

yea mang I agree.....another thing I hated was in the career mode... I would make a character and by the time I build him up to 20 something wins a legend retires and I don't get a chance to fight him unless I bump the legend down the rankings.... but they still keep their crazy stats and my guy would get slaughtered haha

LOOL I hated the legends retiring, I'd end up winning my belt versus some scrub. That will need to be looked into.

yes it does imo..... I think that they should edit/adjust the ratings for legends if you bump them down a few spots.... but then they will have to adjust their age as well because the legend will retire cuz of old age and have bum stats haha

Did the legend really retire though? Or did they see your hungry young lion as a threat, and "retired" when the division started heating up?
