ggg is now ducking a guy the same people used as evidence of how pathetic the middleweight division was 2 months ago

he's also ducking lara (a notoriously non-intimidating, excruciatingly boring fighter a division below who already lost to canelo)

    ggg duckin everyone yall

i am genuinely honestly surprised we don't have one of "the crew" concocting a theory that floyd retired because he was tired of ggg ducking him

ggg wakes up in cold sweats thinking about rau'shee warren

Jacobs is the best challenge to GGG outside of Canelo at the moment.

GGG has been regarded as the champ at 160 back when Martinez was reigning as champ, so I doubt anything would change if GGG didn't fight BJS next and fought Jacobs instead.

BTW, you know as well as I do that BJS is scared shtless of GGG. He won't get in the ring with him and if he does it'll be Spinks-Tyson all over again. The man will be beaten before he even steps in the ring. The fans will never give props for fighting someone that wants no part of GGG to begin with.
Both guys said they'd fight GGG for outrageous money. I'd prefer Jacobs though , slightly more interesting fight. But its not like he brings more credibility or resume. He also doesn't bring a belt for GGG to unify, which is clearly very important to them

You act as if GGG's resume is to good for someone like Jacobs.
Did those guys have a real belt? And quillin has looked like garbage for 2 years now. Good win but still don't mean GGG has to fight you. Jacobs got dropped by mora for Christ sake and needed a freak injury to get by him. Jacobs won a vacant Jr WBA belt that means nothing that's why he's a paper champ. GGG is looking to grab the big boy belts. Does Danny have one? No. And Rubio was mandatory so even he filled a purpose. What purpose does Jacobs fill?

The problem was that Jacobs was laid out flat on his back looking as if he couldn't move. When a fighter is like that, quite often the ref will stop it without giving a full count. Why on Earth Jacobs chose to lay out like that when he wasn't too hurt is beyond me. Its kind of his fault. I suppose Robert Byrd could have counted longer but if he really thought Jacob was that hurt then I don't blame him for stopping it.

I thought Byrd waived the count at 3 or 4.... Most guys take a knee then, get up which is around 8.

But to answer your question, you're right it is Jacobs fault for not at least getting to a knee. Maybe he thought he had at least to the count of 6 to at least try to get up.

But if you look at the stoppage, Jacobs was more than capable of getting up and had to be physically restrained while clearly communicating with the ref. But yes, it is his own fault.

And to answer Deanrw and the rest of the folks that speak on behalf of Team Golovkin for what's appropriate pay for GGG's opponents and what's not and think it's ok for Team Golovkin not to make any offers to Jacobs, please don't make any references of Jacobs ducking GGG especially if you guys are going to use this kind of rationale (i.e. it's not about the competition, but the "belts").

I have to agree with this. Funny thing is we might get a rematch if the rumors of Pirog returning are true.

Stating he wants multi millions to fight GGG is a duck in itself, I don't have to state it LOL

Ok, so since you, Deanrw, speak on behalf of GGG's opponents on what they deserve and don't deserve, please tell me what's reasonable for a GGG opponent?

BTW, what's you're background Dean? Are you a part of Golovkin's financial management team?

As a Jacobs fan, I actually want that fight. It gives him an opportunity to correct his wrong. I think Jacob's has improved since then and Pirog has obviously been stagnant.
