Yeah it was his first fight against a superstar. But it was also Mosley, Trinidad, Hopkins, and many other fighters first fight against a superstar and neither of them went on to be the PPV King like Floyd did. And DLH never in his life did 2million ppv's before Floyd.

It was his biggest money fight up to that time but it wasn't really any more important than his many world title fights. Mayweather was already a star and Oscar was of course a huge star. They both contributed to it being a huge money fight.

LOL, no. Chicanito Hernandez was his first "real" big fight.

speaking of the baldomir fight the tenth anniversary is coming up next year! party? people said it was a joke at the time but now that we look back at it...........................
It's almost 10 years and you're still spouting the same ****

Literally the same lines about Baldomir, N'dou, Mitchell and Margarito. It's not 2006-2008 anymore mate.

If you want to see someone who lives in the past then look no further. Do you not get bored?

                It's 2016 man.

It wasn't his first "big" fight but it was his first mega fight for sure. Which shot him to superstardom.

Floyd had been on PPV a few times already at that point (Gatti, Judah, Baldomir) and was doing solid numbers. The Baldomir fight at the time seemed like it would hurt his marketability as many of the crowd left the arena before the end of the fight but it didn't in the end.

Corrales was a big fight also.

Because if we criteria big fight by revenue, then yeah.

If we criteria big fight by quality of opponent. Diego Corrales was 33-0 30ko. That's a big fight if there is any.

                    Exactly.

Corrales was his first big fight.

2 undefeated fighters in their primes unifying a division.
