if u take care of being respected early that buys you some time if things go wrong..so u're comparison is pretty bad, bc u know in your heart of hearts that andre ward is still a man that can beat anyone..im not even a ward fan, but trust me HE'S A BAD MF
Oh, I forgot, Ward was just so popular universally adored.
He is so good, then why is he chasing a guy two weight classes below him.
Why complain about 164, when he forced Dawson down to 168. Shouldn't of Ward been willing to come down to 160 then, he certainly said he'd do it for Floyd.
Although Super 6 was nice, it isn't a career defining. He hasn't done jack since then, and by far his best opponent wouldn't even step in the ring with GGG.
Wards best win is Froch, and both Ward and Froch played their supporters into believing they wanted GGG.
Froch pulled the same cowardly move Ward did, stayed quit until GGG was clearly going for the Unification fights. Lemieux, possibly Canelo, and now Suanders.
Both Froch and Ward wanted nothing to do with GGG when GGG had no where to go, and was just a risk.
Both spoke up when GGG had better options lined up, better financial options, and unification fights.
That may fool the haters, but it's not hard to see how Froch and Ward played this.

understand ward felt like he deserved better..he'd fought the best and ppl didnt buy into..can u image doing wat you love and being the best at it only to see 300ppl in the crowd?
cant you see how it seems unworth it??
fans are the reason that nobody wants to fight him bc why fight the best if ucant get paid for it??
The injury was legit, but it doesn't explain his inactivity.
Ring Mag has a great piece up chronicling the time off Ward took for no other reason that he didn't fight.
And boo hoo, no one goes to his fights.
Maybe if he was a dirty, head swinging, arm holding, clincher people would like him more.
You can call it defense, I call it something else, much of it shady.

"lil g dont want it so im going after the real boogyman" - andre ward...
not "i cant make 168 so i cant fight ggg."

This can's a fcking joke and anybody supporting this can is a fcking joke too
Canelo moved up! Really, 1 pound. He didn't move up yet, he got older and couldn't drain to 154 anymore.
So if GGG moves up to 161, and tells Ward meet him there you'd shut you Internet tough guy act up.
Naw, you'd still be the shiiiit talking mouthy ***** hiding behind the digital wall.

there was no need to fight at 168 he was no longer a champ there anymore..and it was obvious that his next big fight was at 175 and we all know why
bradley fought at 147 before..didnt mean he couldnt make 140 again and he did..
u acting real casual right now

So bring on Ward/Kovalev. It's the best fight in the sport and I can't wait to see it.
