I think MW is an incredible fighter. But this is just nonsense.

How can you say that Ward shouldn't move up and take on the challenge of Kovalev and then in the next sentence say that GGG should move up and take on Ward. It makes no sense. And it doubly makes no sense if you say, as he does, that Ward is the best P4P fighter in the world now and that for him GGG would be 'easy work.' So, if that really is the case, why would you want it to happen? what would it prove?

If Ward and GGG can come to terms, then great, it's a fight I'd like to see. But if they can't, I don't care one way or the other to be honest. I think Ward and GGG are great fighters. GGG is more fun to watch for most people but I have been a huge fan and respecter of Ward since the time he was going into the Olympics. I am perfectly fine with Ward staying at 168 if he still can. And GGG staying at 160 if he wants to. But this is just a ridiculous double standard and the only people who can't see it as that have no grasp on logic or common sense, or (sadly) they are indeed being motivated by other considerations.

i think he's saying why is one party forced to do something when the next party is not? and i think u really missed that..

he basically said we should get all the best fights and it should have started with ward vs ggg.

and they did say hopkins was fightin smaller men..but the same ppl are asking for cdanelo to sacrifice himself

Ward himself said the reason for him moving up was there was nothing for him at 168 and he wanted to challenge himself. He could have waited for GGG to conclude his business at 160, perhaps attempted to take on a few or the title holders there. I know James Degale had Ward's name in his mouth.

Beating a unified and lineal middleweight champion does a lot more for his career than beating an middleweight hypejob. If he kept a high profile and got in Golovkin's face perhaps we'd see the fight by late 2016 which is when Ward wanted it.

Of course that depends on whether Golovkin's team really wanted it. I find it hard to believe either side really wanted the fight. Neither side we're trying that hard to get it made.

i think ggg could get haymon fighters on hbo bc they could sell out an arena and a competitve ppv will do more numbers..

Sorry, I mean it would be better for Ward to fight Golovkin after he has unified the middleweight division and won the lineal title rather than now when he's just an overhyped puncher. I only mentioned Degale because he accused Ward of ducking him.

Don't play this game with me. Floyd made his name by fighting smaller guys, ie he beat JMM easy who took Pac all the way in 3 fights so that must mean Floyd is so damn great? His best win in his career is over another smaller guy in Pac. Floyd is making his name off of smaller guys do you get it?
GGG hasn't made his name over smaller guys. If he beats Floyd he will be making a name off of Floyd. So let GGG fight one smaller guy.

Im not saying GGG has never fought a small sized middleweight, but he sure as didn't make a great boxing reputation off of them. Floyd should give GGG the opportunity to boast how good he is by beating Floyd. Floyd does it against JMM and Pac and countless other good smaller guys he beat.

When he fought oscar , cotto , conelo he was the smaller guys and hasnt fought at 154 since 2012....

I swear, the lengths Floyd stans go to defend their lover. Mayweather was as big as Canelo when he forced him to go to 152. Canelo looked like skin and bones and Mayweather looked huge. Mayweather, didn't take risk like the past greats have done. Instead, Floyd settled for a weak and drained opponent. So the hypocrite Floyd has no right to criticize anyone about fighting bigger or smaller guys.
