Not sure what you mean by "clean slate?" So boxers need to have a clean slate in order to be appreciated for what they do better than anyone? Ah, I see, so Mayweather has to pass a strict test outside of the ring and possess qualities that have nothing whatsoever to do with his skills? Right, so now you can't just be good at the sport you're dedicated to you have to meet some dumb ****'s criteria for behavior outside of the ring too?

There are plenty of reasons to dislike Mayweather

for example, his cherrypicking, his personality, his woman beating habits, his boring ass style, the way he used his money and influence to get even more advantage (personal referee, judges, gloves, USADA shenanigans, IVgate, etc), the fact he caused the Top Rank-GB cold war, the fact he's been a bad influence for up and coming stars who now just want to make easy money while ducking any tough fights...etc etc.

What a load of ****. Berto sucks, he was a titlist YEARS ago in a weak era, even back then he was nothing to write home about, but at least he was in his prime physically. Current Berto is a chump who has back to back loses to C levels Guerrero and Soto Karass. Floyd could have fought anyone in the division, we know he doesn't have the balls to challenge himself (so no chance he'd fight guys like Lara or GGG, y'know, real threats ) but he could have fought Brook, Bradley, Thurman, Khan, Garcia, etc. hungry young fighters who are still in their prime, but he chose the path of least resistance as usual.

That's what this coward does, he picks nothing but opponents who dont pose a threat stylistically or physically, and every great fighter he picks, it has to be past his prime. He did it again with Pacquiao, ducked him for years until Pac was on decline, had to cheat with IVs and USADAs blessings and couldn't even beat Pacquiao fairly or convincingly. Slo-mo proves Pac outlanded him, while injured.

and dont bring that garbage that Floyd is older than Pac, that doesn't mean ****, fighters, REAL fighters like Pac who come to fight, deteriorate way faster than safety first wusses who love-tap you to a decission, fight nothing but safe cherrypicks and take year long vacations.

Since he returned in 2009, name a fighter he should have fought.....he fought all the hall of famers left in his era....who wouldve been even money or favored to beat him at welterweight from 2009-2015???? I'll wait....

Televisa Deportes named Floyd Mayweather Fighter of the Year on this past Sunday show called "Accion"....

It's a shame so called American Sport Channel such as ESPN don't recognize Mayweather brilliant year after beating #2 p4p Pacquiao & former champion Berto.....

Floyd gets more love in other countries than his own.....damn shame...no wonder we got Roy Jones & Mayweather going to Russia getting mad love than their own country....
