You try to make Mayweather's case a race issue: it's not. Mayweather gets disrespect from his repeated history of domestic violence/abuse/other antics outside of the ring. Mayweather is not a role-model individual, and he doesn't need to be, but don't expect him to be walking around without receiving any hate or dislike and try claiming it as racially motivated.

If you want to bring up a race issue, I suggest bringing up names like Leonard or Roy and making your point there. At least these two guys don't have the notoriety Floyd does, and it's easier to argue against why anyone would hate them.

I don't make Mayweather's case anything dude, I've been a member of this site since 2010 and before that I lurked here. Since I've been here that long and I'm not an idiot trying to bury his head in the sand. It's clear to me as an African American when racial animus is present or being employ disguised as something else. This is not rocket science. I do a process of elimination dude, which is to say I take all of the things off the the table that criticism against Mayweather isn't based on the context. Whatever is left on the table, no matter how silly or trite is probably of a "racial" nature.

Role model, who's talking about that? All I'm talking about is a guy getting props for being what he is, greatness personified in the boxing ring. But a lot of what I feel from these boards is unreasoning, pathetic grasping hate. Fight fans reaching and groping for reasons why they hate Mayweather and all one need do is look at a member's post histories to ascertain what their truer motivations are.

Mayweather doesn't have to be a choir boy to be subjected to racism, so there isn't a picture perfect example in the form of a Jones or a Leonard with him. Simply because he lives a life many of us won't or choose to doesn't mean he justifiably opens himself to racism or that its somehow more obscure with him because he's a scoundrel. Stop it....
