it's controversial because even after the winner was announced, the ref still raised floyd's hand cuz he was in the ring and knew very clearly who had won. his mistake was to assume that the judges would announce the obvious winner, but unfortunately for him, the crooked judges made him look ******. not his fault though.

It wasn't controversial. It was a robbery. Almost as bad as Roy was robbed against Park in '88.
Even Todorov didn't believe he won. He doesn't even discard the theory that the judges were paid. Read the NY Times article. “It’s possible, absolutely,” he said...Last edited by Main Source; 12-28-2015, 02:45 AM.Comment

You most likely know nothing of the guy's life story. You should read what Pigeon sent: Story about Serafim Todorov from the NYT from earlier this year for those interested: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/04/sp...s-it.html?_r=0
I've seen some footage of Todorov besides the Floydie fight. The guy was a supreme technician in the ring back then. Thing is Floydie could help the guy out, even with just an exhibition fight. And there would be enough interest to make it a success.Comment
