                    A lot of great boxers simply don't walk into the right promotion and their career evaporates.

                    Owner/head trainer of my old gym never went pro just because promoters kept leaving him hanging until he was in his 30s. Year after year. Eventually you can't wait on their IOUs and just get a real job no matter how good you are.
