Lara has been calling out Golovkin before PBC even was discussed as a project.

Tell Lara to call Loeffler doe. He's waiting. Don't really know why you people take these calling out and tweeting seriously. They mean nothing without doing anything. Has Lara even talked to Haymon about these fighters he's calling out?

Khan called out Mayweather a thousand times, even kept in touch with Haymon. Does that mean Mayweather ducked him?

OK, bruv. Like I said to start with you're entitled to your belief. Checking out the responses I'd say you're in the decided minority on the weight issue, but that's OK, never a bad thing to stick to your guns. FWIW I hadn't actually given much thought to whether Canelo would be better given time to properly acclimatise to the full 160 but that's probably true, Furthermore age is on his side and he continues to improve as he gains top flight experience. Mainly I just wanted to see the fight happen, whether it's at 155, 156, or 160 I don't particularly want to wait for another coupla years. Looking at your posts though it seems like you're more emotionally invested in this fight than most other posters, pro or anti GGG. I mean if we're going to wait another year or two, why not 3 or 4? Make sure GGGs well past his prime?

C'mon. The time for this fight is now, I'm not a fan of catchweights but I'd rather this happened at 155 or 156 sooner than at 160 later, and I honestly don't care who wins. Canelo's been fighting guys the same size as GGG for the last 2 years from a division that's supposedly much stronger than MW so I can't see that the move to full 160 should be a major issue. The principal difference is that he won't need to drain down as much, which should be a good thing - hopefully it should help with his stamina at the very least.

I agree with you, catchweights should be completely abolished..... but that should happen for the benefit of boxing..... not TODAY, for the benefit of Golovkin.

Most of these recent "catchweight objectors" have had years to put their objections on paper, like I have..... but oh no, they waited until now

That's exactly what Canelo is trying to do. If he is able to get 155, he'll be trying to gain 3/4 of all the MW titles, plus retain the lineal, at 1 pound above JRMW.

Nothing is as pathetic as a guy who walking into the ring at 180 thinking he has to drain a guy who walks in the ring at 170.
