    It's not a bad idea

Xmas is for kids and once they've opened their presents and played around and you eat, it's boring as hell.

Considering xmas was originally a festival based around beating up women and human sacrifice, boxing seems a little tame if anything.

Nah, I wouldn't watch sports on Christmas day, even if it were a huge boxing match. I'd much rather relax and drink and eat with the family watch Christmas movies.

Would there even be a crowd? Who would want to work an event on Christmas day like that.

        MGM would. Idk about MSG.

I like this idea doe. I think Thanksgiving should have fights too. F#ck guys running around carrying oddly shaped balls. I'd rather be suffering from the itis & watching some boxing.

There are always boxing events in Belgium on Christmas Day. Some in Africa sometimes too but Belgium has made this a tradition of sorts. Like Japan on New Years Eve.

I guess you've never been to a white trash Christmas party.

Seeing brother/cousins fighting over a half-eaten candy cane really opened my eyes.

They wont put a huge card on christmas cause a bunch of contracts have to be rewritten and the promoters most likely rather be with their family, boxers rather be with their family etc etc. Its not just as easy as putting 2 boxers in a ring on christmas day theirs literally like 100's workers in the background who are on salary and get the holidays off per their contract.,

                    Great idea...
