Christmas wouldn't make any sense. It would be better to do it New Years eve. People are getting together at parties all over the world and need some entertainment. Have a card that is guaranteed to have the main event fighters in the ring 2 hours before midnight eastern time. If marketed right could get a lot of same day and casual buyers.
Would a boxing match on Christmas be huge?

A fight isn't the mood for Christmas. Sure it can add that drama to it being on Christmas and the families of the fighters etc etc.. but nobody wants to watch men beat each other down on Christmas.
Most people would rather socialize with the family and do things that are about unity.. like watching the Warriors beat the Cavs tonight.Comment

Fk that. There are plenty of boxing fans in my family. We get together and feast and drink and we generally have movies or fights (saved on dvr) running the whole time.
Would be great to have a big ppv card to watch and holler about.
They could probably get me to spend more than on a standard weekend, being as how everybody will want extra money for working on Christmas.
War Larry!

People go to the movies on Christmas day, I used to look forward to the Clippers/Lakers every year when I cared about basketball. The right fight on an NBC-level platform would do well. That or just have the Khan/Salita rematch.Comment
