Why do people bash GGG on his resume?

To put simply...expectations and hype have moved a little too far past results and accomplishments for peoples taste. That is the general cause in most cases.

This is often not the fault of the fighter, it just is. In GGG's case he is being touted as a potentially great fighter, and a pound for pound king, but he has not yet got any marquee wins for whatever reason. Normally everyone gets caught up in arguing over the reasons it hasn't happened rather than actually focusing on whether they think he will fulfil those expectations in the future. You know an actual boxing debate?

That number is from Glaser, who claimed Canelo Cotto did 600k so is lacking in credibility

His resume is fine, it's his fans that drive everyone ****ing nuts. ANy fighter that has nuthugger fans like he does is going to experience some backlash, especially when he hasnt fought any top tier guys.

His resume is good. And hes a great fighter from what we've seen. But the fans wont leave it at that and drive everyone nuts. I'm a big GGG fan myself, but his fans are going around saying hilarious stuff like he would beat Andre Ward for christssake.

so then what, people are not allowed to disagree with you about the outcome of a hypothetical fight? Nobody is ever allowed to have a different opinion?

You must be a real fun person to be around..........

Nonsense. Blaming fans is like being thin-skinned who can't deal with opposing views. Stay out of the kitchen, bro. It's too hot.

So basically you're saying it's a mismatch. Ward wins the fight, end of story to you. So why do these GG-hating clowns want a mismatch?

FYI, most of us here are not even 3G fans. (I rooted for Lemieux.) I see it the way normal people do. You don't blame the guy who is being ducked. You blame the duck.

              Cotto-Canelo did 900k and GGG dd 150k

I think if HBO and K2 pushed the opponents to fight then it would be different. If I were HBO, I would tell Canelo that he's not getting a PPV event next unless he fights GGG next. They gotta push this ****. GGG could go to PBC for a onetime deal and bust up Jacobs for fun.

Fans of black fighters seem to do it most. They probably dumbly assume he's white and that he's overrated because of it.

you'd take step aside money if they guy wasn't going to fight you anyway. that is exactly what happened.

they want to avoid miguel cotto and stay out of a higher tax bracket for a six figure step aside fee

you guys can't possibly believe this stuff. cotto was the F#cking champion of the division, FFS. fighting him is what they'd have preferred to do. just trust if you don't understand it. it's clear that you do not.
I understand that..... but this is what I mean and you know it:

all this time they were fooling their fans saying that all they want are all the belts blah blah blah..... yet he's taking another step aside fee.... and I don't wanna hear this crap about "well he wont get the fight"... FORCE THE STRIPPAGE like they've been sayin all this time. "Fight GGG next or be stripped of the title".
