it's true...Hoya and Arum cater to the savage fans....the type of fans who wanna see toe to toe brawls and broken bones....while some of us enjoy the sweet science, the chess matches, the thinking man's game....I'll admit, I'm a savage fan from time to time but I prefer the thinking game...the hit and not get hit game
look, Swift and Lucas took something outta each other on a special September night in 2013....they was hitting each other with some heavy ****....Lucas suffered orbital bone damage...Swift couldn't hear outta one ear for weeks after the fight....I know Swift was urinating blood, Lucas probably was as well....those two brave WARRIORS put it ALL on the line that night...Swift fought 6 months later against Hererra, who at the time was viewed as a soft touch by critics, fans and writers....many people had Swift losing after 12 rounds....Lucas fought a month after Swift and was dropped a couple of times by Molina Jr.....BOTH Lucas and Swift went life and death in their next fight after that brutal bout they had in September 2013
After 24 rounds of life and death, Uncle Al gave Swift a soft touch in Salka, critics bashed the fight as if he they forgot he just went 24 hard rounds with Lucas and Herrera....Uncle Al knew he had to preserve his young gun....Hoya on the other hand threw Lucas in with an UNDEFEATED Robert Ortiz five months after the Molina fight, luckily for Lucas dude couldn't take it to the body and folded EARLY....cool!!
After about 7 months, Lucas was in yet ANOTHER war with a War Specialist named Ruslan Provodnikov.....the fight was brutal and very entertaining...Swift checked back in 8 months after the Salka fight for a rumble with Peterson....Pete ran early but turned it up and started backing Swift up late...another taxing night at the office for Swift and Lucas
Uncle Al then gave Swift what many viewed as a soft touch against Paulie while Lucas had to rumble Postol....Swift won by stoppage and Lucas lost by stoppage....now Swift is scheduled to fight Ghost next month while Lucas is in contemplation mode...don't know what's next....one promoter is trying to preserve his young gun for the future while the other is just catering to the savages who make fun of his addiction and ****sexuality
Same **** with Arum, Bradley got ****ed up by Provo but Arum threw him in with Marquez right after that...no days off for TB....now many see TB as damaged goods....almost got stopped by corny ass Vargas late...don't let the Rios win gas ya'll....TB is less than the fighter he was when he stepped in to face Pac the first time....you wonder why Bradley is the top choice for Pac's return?!?...it's not hard to figure out why
I agree with Floyd on this one....fans care more about fighters drawing power and purse splits than they do about their health....I've heard certain posters, who I refuse to name, complain about chess matches and then ridicule fighters for slurring....it's ridiculous man!!
