is Latino/Hispanic a Race?

I'm the only one sick and tired of people saying latino/hispanic is a race?

I know it is not a Race but a culture heritage.

From what I know most latinos are either White(spanish/european),Mestizo(indigenous+european),Mulatto(afr ican+european) or some other mixture between European,Indigenous,African.........from my understanding....

Its a cultural background.
Example: Canelo vs Lara was White Man v Black Man. Both were hispanic though.

If you want to go by the book, it's an ethnicity. That's what it says on government forms. It can't be a race when you have guys like say Julio Cesar Chavez with white skin and Erik Morales with dark/Indian blood.

Latino/Hispanic just has to have Spanish blood and Indian/Indigenous blood and can have african, other european, arab, etc as well. Thats why cubans mexicans argentines etc are all Latinos. All could have different racial mixtures but share a common language and indigenous blood along with other mixes.

The spanish may be slightly different but is still understandable. similar to english here in the us having different accents in cali, texas, alabama, boston etc and also england ireland austraila etcs
