  • what's so wrong in supporting your own....?

I have no problem with Whites supporting White fighters, same goes with Blacks supporting their Black fighters or Ricans & Asians supporting their own.....

It's your choice.....I'm a Mexican i support Mexican fighters but I don't mind rooting against my own....it's your choice....(example I want Santa Cruz to beat Russell & Loma but at the same time I want GGG to beat Canelo)

The only thing I hate is Racial/Nationalistic Bias Hooligans....

I don't have a problem with the philosophy overall because I think it's somewhat instinctive for a lot of people. I don't look at it like that but then again I grew up in a diverse community so I might have a different outlook. I usually pick a fighter based on their fighting style.

What bothers me is when people judge other fighters unfairly simply because of their race, nationality, etc.

Since you asked, I think is simple minded to seek validation in people who you share geographic or genetic ties to. Your value, as a person, does not lie in the successes of others.

If you want to support your own it's your choice, the problem is that posters who support their own often twist facts to defend guys of their race/nationality ducking people, overrate their wins, underrate the rest of the division to build up their own guy etc. and then try to claim that they're unbiased, reasonable and worth discussing the sport with.
