Low relative to Edwin, but Barrera isn't a name or anything... 300k sounds good to me.
They're probably trying to talk up their price, but 300k sounds good enough for me for Barrera

If Goosen could afford to pay Edwin $1 mil I'm sure Roc Nation can afford to pay Barrera $750k

sad how when a boxer gets hurt everyone is quick to say pray for such and such...but no one ever takes into consideration the risk these guys run into when they step into the ring. People these guys put there life on the line for us fans to watch lets not forget that theres a reason why its called prize fighting

if barrera was in the top 10 of the division like edwin was, id agree, but he isn't, he's also not getting the kind of deal edwin had where he was negotiated to appear on the network twice. 300k is more than enough for barrera bc i doubt he'd make that vs kovalev. not even mohammedi made 300k vs kovalev.

Yep and he and Kovalev have the same promoter so i don't think it could go to purse bid? But right now Ward needs a credible 175 opponent and Barrera is that guy. They probably just trying to squeeze a half a million out of them.

im all for fighters getting paid, but this is a great opportunity for barrera IMO, and 300k is solid money for him.

$300k is not low for someone like Barrera. That's probably on par to what his purse cut would be to fight as Kovalev's IBF mando.

People can't compare what they're offering Barrera to what Edwin Rodriguez got. For one thing La Bomba was riding some momentum going into that fight as a top 10 SMW, the other is that HBO was paying Ward alot more back then and more eager to invest into Ward.

barrera is now #1 ranked boxer in IBF he just had an eliminator fight I'm sure he's going to command much more, but in my opinion i think wards people are trying to avoid him this is actually a risky fight for ward activity not a stronger punch but yes excellent boxer and moving up in weight not sure this makes sense for ward actually
