Damn UFC Prelim Undercard Ratings are destroying Boxing Main Card Ratings

I don't like the direction boxing is going, they're using a very OLD formula to promote. Damn Terrestrial Radio Commercials and Word Of Mouth please feel free to Join Us in 2015 Boxing. Get active on Social Media and get your fighters to do more interviews on Networks like ESPN

This fight wasn't promoted much if at all!

Low ratings is due mostly to NFL having the Saturday night game. NFL pulled a 7.4mil rating. Everyone was watching Jets/Cowboys. Hell the post game pulled a 2.8mil rating. Every sporting event that goes head to head with NFL gets swallowed up in their ratings. NBA, NHL, MLB all get crap ratings against NFL. And you add to that Ortiz was not known by most boxing fans before this fight equals weak ratings for HBO.

The HBO folks behind this arent the brightest things on earth. They shouldn't have put some fights on the main HBO show and others on tape-delayed and on top of that HBO Latino, rather than running one show with all the fights together sequentially! This is like going to dinner and being served the main course and then an hour later they move you to another table and serve you the appetizers!!! WTF???? At least Showtime shows the prelims on Showtime Extreme before the main show.

Its still good numbers going head to head with a 7mil+ football game. Isn't it better than the Jacobs-duillin ratings?

Figueroa didn't go head to head with NFL this weekend. And Figueroa had the lowest NBC Primetime rating of the entire year. Each show has dipped in ratings since the PBC debut and Figueroa was the lowest of them all. That fight was not a success in ratings

They tape delayed to try and avoid the NFL Saturday Night Game. Those fights aired at the same time as the start of the NFL game. What they should of done was try to push this entire card to next week or a few weeks earlier. You have no shot in the ratings if you are within a 1 hour window of NFL. It swallows up all the sports ratings. MLB playoffs took a MAJOR beating in the games that went head to head with NFL. Think about that. Regular season NFL games and some of which were garbage matchups smoked MLB do or die playoff games. HBO is usually smart in when they schedule their fights. But they miscalculated this show. Which was actually loaded with great fights from HBO Latino to the Boxing After Dark on regular HBO.

When posters point things like this out when discussing PBC shows, you dismiss it. Now, you want these things factored in.

Come on man, can't you have just one standard and not 2 different ones?

That HBO nutsack is a joke!

When its PBC its failing no matter what it goes against but if its HBO then it has reasons and its good.

Hell he thinks ghost/guerrero is a joke of fight but is rooting for Rosado/ Canelo
