not a good number for HBO, and I would have thought that Walters would pull better numbers off the Donaire KO. Ortiz isnt that well known, so I get that, but I did figure Walters to do much better.

And on top of it they did a crap job of promoting it. I dont even recall seeing a single promo for it on HBO......

Each NBC Primetime card has dropped in ratings since it's debut. What trend do we have of HBO pulling crap ratings like this? Let alone a alarming trend like we are seeing in PBC? None. I already said HBO took the Loss it flopped. It was foolish to schedule this card that went head to head with NFL Saturday Night Football.

FYI In that same thread I linked you have another Haymon nut hugger saying that the spike card later that week would pull a 800-1mil rating because it wasn't going head to head with any big sports. Yet that same card ended up doing 300k rating.

At this point if you think PBC is pulling crap ratings because it's going head to head with other sports you are just an idiot. Nights when there ain't nothing major going on it still draws bad tv ratings. PBC has aired all year but after the 10th flop using that excuse falls on deaf ears. HBO pulled great ratings all year long 1mil or more basically every fight out and one they go up with NFL they bombed. One is a blimp on the radar the other is a damn pattern/trend.
Look dude, you can't have it both ways. PBC on Tues and Thursdays goes up against NFL, NBA and the weekly network shows. How come you don 't allow for these to be reasons for low ratings?

its incredibly hypocritical for you to discuss reasons why a show flopped other than "it sucks". That's what you usually say about PBC. This show might have just ******, but you can't say that because its HBO.

What PBC card has gone up against NFL? When does PBC even air on Thursday? And again PBC has flopped head to head or not head to head with other sports. Which is why it's a BS crutch for you Haymon nut huggers. When one show has bad ratings NO MATTER WHAT DAY, WHAT TIME, WHAT SPORTS IS GOING ON HEAD TO HEAD for about a 6 months stretch you can't use that as a excuse. How hard is that to understand? HBO had one bad show and it went up against NFL that does this to everyone else including playoffs for other major sports. It don't make it any less of a loss for HBO. They took the L on Saturday. But it's clearly a blimp on their radar. Now look at PBC what about all their other shows that consistently pull bad ratings? Why has every NBC primetime show done worst then the previous one? Why are the recent Haymon shows on Showtime pulling like 300K viewers when a year ago at this time when Golden Boy was running the shows they were doing 1mil ratings? None of this has to do with PBC brand which is trash right now among fans for many many reasons. Least of them is what other sports are on that night. WNBA is not the reason for the flops on PBC that has been a trend ALL YEAR LONG. LMAO

you've made the same point. i'm not talking about why the ratings were low, I'm talking about what you say when they are low. Just say the show sucks and be done.

I don't like the direction boxing is going, they're using a very OLD formula to promote. Damn Terrestrial Radio Commercials and Word Of Mouth please feel free to Join Us in 2015 Boxing. Get active on Social Media and get your fighters to do more interviews on Networks like ESPN

This fight wasn't promoted much if at all!
last time they were competing with prelims of biggest ppv ever with real fights on it this time there was nothing like that

Disappointing. This last month has features pretty good fights on HBO and PBC and both had low ratings.
